WILL YOU OBEY GOD?

Obedience is a big thing to God.  Most people know that, but would still rather do their own thing.  Heaven is God’s home, and everything there is subject unto His will and pleasure.  The entire universe was created for God’s pleasure, and even the stars and planets obey His commandment to stay in their proper courses.  And everything was wonderful in heaven until Lucifer decided he not only did not want to obey God anymore, but he wanted to de-throne God and take His place and rule heaven.  Well, how did THAT work out for Lucifer?  Not too well, and he was cast out of heaven because he left his former place of obedience and became evil. LIVING ABOVE NEED

You can read in the news of failing economies in various countries, of lack and need everywhere you look. Is that how God created the earth to operate?  Or is it the result of how mankind has made it?  And if it is mankind’s fault, what can be done to remedy the problem? Continue Reading »

THE WORD HAS NO CHOICE

One morning this week I was awakened with a thought from the LORD, saying, “THE WORD HAS NO CHOICE BUT TO PERFORM THAT WHICH IT WAS SENT TO DO.”  Well, I know it was the LORD, because the word perfectly agreed with Isaiah 55:8-11, which states:
Isa 55:8  For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.
Isa 55:9  For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
Isa 55:10  For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:
Isa 55:11  So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. Continue Reading »

GET WISDOM

Many people seek money, or status or material possessions, but the Bible tells us there is something more important we should seek, and that is WISDOM.  Even if you have money, without wisdom you won’t keep it long.  There have been people who have won the lottery and have become multi-millionaires overnight, and a couple years later they were bankrupt.  Why?  They had money, but no wisdom how to use it. Let’s see what the Bible has to say about wisdom. Continue Reading »

INDEPENDENCE DAY

Today the 4th of July is Independence Day in the USA.  On this day we celebrate the day we became an independent nation.  The Founding Fathers of this Nation declared their independence from the King of England, not wanting to be any longer under the King’s rule.  That sort of thing has been going on for countless years, in that people want to be free to make their own choices and live as they choose.  We call it “freedom”.  But what is freedom, really? IS THE GOSPEL YOU PREACH “GOOD NEWS”?

Whether we realize it or not, every Christian is a preacher of the Gospel.  Preaching the Gospel is not only done by speaking.  Our actions speak much louder than words, and if the life you live before others is not in line with the Word of God, then obviously you are not preaching the same Gospel that Christ Jesus preached. ALL THE LAW

When it’s time to write my articles, I always ask the LORD what He wants me to write about, and He always answers quickly.  Today He said Galatians 5:14, so here it is: For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. Immediately, that made me think of what the Lord Jesus said in Mark 12:29-31, from whence Paul wrote Galatians 5:14.  Of course, Paul was writing to people who already loved the LORD, though he didn’t mention first loving God with all your heart, which went without saying here. Paul was teaching believers about how to have the fruits of the Holy Spirit working in them. Continue Reading »
