BE MADE WHOLE NOW

As we close out another year, I want to ask you, Did you live out this year in the perfect will of God? And if not, what are you going to do about it? Obviously the best answer would be, “I’ll repent and get things right with God.” Continue Reading »

WASTE NOT, WANT NOT

“Waste not, want not” is an old proverb first recorded in 1772, and a statement similar to that was recorded earlier in the 1500’s, which is as useful today as it was back then. When we make good use of what we already have available, it keeps us from having lack in that area.

BE THANKFUL

As you know, I normally publish my newsletter on Friday, but being this is Thanksgiving, it seemed appropriate to do it today, seeing the title is “BE THANKFUL”. Continue Reading »

WHAT WOULD YOU SAY AROUND JESUS?

Our words define our world, whether we think so or not. I was preaching some about that last week at church. An example I gave of that was, suppose your wife cooked your favorite meal, and you gave her a glowing compliment about how good it was. You can bet she will appreciate that, and will be very pleased with you. But suppose you told her, “That was the worst thing I’ve ever tasted, are you trying to poison me?” I’d imagine you’d be sleeping on the couch tonight, maybe tomorrow too.

THAT’S THE WAY IT IS

Many people really want to see a move of God in our days like the disciples saw in theirs, and that’s a good thing. But what is it going to take for that to happen? Part of the problem is, in this generation of Christians, we have grown to accept the present situation of “not much happening” as “the way it is”. Continue Reading »

THIS BOOK OF THE LAW

It is written in Joshua 1:8, This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

GOD IS A REWARDER

It is written in Hebrews 11:6, But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. That verse is very clear in its meaning, and you don’t need to be a Bible scholar to understand it. You cannot come to God unless you believe He exists. And He is pleased that you believe in Him enough to diligently seek Him. And for that He will reward you. Rewards come in many shapes and sizes. We all like rewards, right?

THE WAY IT IS

We’ve all heard the expression, “that’s the way it is”. So whatever it is you’re talking about, you just accept it as that and drop it. That is, unless you’re like I am. I like to study deeper into things and get to the bottom of the matter. Now, while I appreciate the hard work and research of others, there’s still nothing like searching a matter out for yourself, so you are satisfied every stone has been turned over, every “I” dotted and every “t” crossed. Else, how are you going to stand up when the circumstances point contrary to what everyone else believes?

OPEN OUR EYES TO SEE, LORD

Why is it that some people are walking in the promises of God, and some are not? Does God love certain ones more, or is it that certain ones love God more?

THE SPIRIT OF GOD UPON THEM

In the days of the Old Testament, the Spirit of God came upon certain ones at times, and they would prophesy. Kings and Prophets were the usual recipients, but not always. Once it was even a donkey that spoke like a man. Anyway, consider what King David did when the Holy Spirit came upon him. The Holy Spirit had not yet been given unto believers to inhabit them. King David wrote the Psalms and did many mighty exploits for God. And even though he was not perfect and without sin, God said he had a heart after his own. Now he accomplished all that with only the VISITATION of the Holy Spirit at different times. Think of what WE could do for God now in this day and age with the INFILLING of the Holy Spirit!
