The Bible has a lot of teaching about words. Are we REALLY aware how very much power our words have? They not only affect how we get along with other people, they also affect our relationship with God, and they most certainly affect every area of our lives and even our health. And yet most people speak things out without having the slightest sense of the consequences of those words. Words can incite riots, words can heal, words can build up, words can destroy. The Bible tells us to seek wisdom, yet most of the world seeks possessions and money, not realizing that if you have wisdom first, possessions and money come easily. God’s Word, if we will USE it, will teach us wisdom. He is the source of ALL wisdom, and He is not stingy with it, but rather, He wants us to listen to His instructions so we will become wise and be blessed and prosper. It amazes me sometimes how people say they want the LORD to do this or that for them, yet their words come against the very things they want. For example, someone asks for me to pray that God blesses their finances, so I do, but they turn around and tell me how poor they are and how everything seems to go wrong for them.
