GET YOUR HOPES UP

Today I’d like to write about the subject of healing, after all, this is a healing ministry.  So many people are needing healing, and some have been waiting for years without receiving it. And a lot of the reason people fail to receive is because well-meaning folks tell them, “Well, you know it’s not always God’s will to heal, so don’t get your hopes up too high.”  Did you know that runs absolutely contrary to the written Word of God? When asking the LORD just now what I’m supposed to write, He said to me, “Just in time.”  Well, this is a particularly hard letter for me to write today, because we just returned home from a trip where we returned from ministering to a family in North Carolina whose son was in the hospital in ICU.  The family had been believing God for six years to heal their son, and there were prayer intercessors all over the country praying for this young man for months around the clock.  I made two trips out there and laid hands on him for healing, the first trip three weeks ago saw him rally and improve. But later he developed sepsis in his blood, organ failure and he died a couple days ago in spite of all our prayers.  And God has often healed people for me at the last possible moment.  But not this time, and He tells me write “JUST IN TIME”?  Why, LORD?  It makes no sense to me. GETTING RESULTS IN HEALING

OK, we have asked God to heal, His word says YES,. so what’s the problem? It isn’t with God , it’s with the people.  You never see where the disciples taught the church keep on begging and begging and praying and praying, it was done once.  Down through the ages doubt and unbelief has entered the teachings of the church and has considerably watered down the power that Jesus granted his disciples.  By the way, if you are a BELIEVER, then YOU are one of those disciples, no matter what age you lived or live in. TRIUMPHING OVER EVIL

You’ve often heard the saying, “Bad things happen to good people”. Well, bad things happen to everyone.  The Lord Jesus said in John 10:10, The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. You see, friends, the devil is an equal-opportunity destroyer; and he doesn’t discriminate, his favorite thing is to destroy EVERYONE and EVERYTHING.  So, that means if you’re here on the earth, guess what?  He is out to destroy you.  Whether or not he gets away with it is up to YOU! “Really?  I thought that was God’s decision!” No.  God has put in place a protection plan for His kids, but again, they must USE it, and God won’t make them.  Let’s explore this today. WHAT TIME IS IT?

Up till one minute ago, I had no clue what to write today, but as always, when I asked the LORD what to write, He answered.  However, He answered with a question; “What time is it?” Now why in the world would the LORD ask someone what time it is? Is His watch broken?  Or is it WE don’t know what time it is? Continue Reading »

THAT BEGUN IN THE SPIRIT CANNOT BE FINISHED IN THE FLESH

This morning when asking the LORD what to write about, absolutely IMMEDIATELY the Spirit spoke to me Galatians 3:3, so here we go. Through history man has learned to mix different metals to create alloys, which are stronger together than any of the individual metals are alone  It’s just in our nature to try to invent and improve things.  And I see the same thing happening where people try to mix the things of the Spirit of God with the things of the flesh, thinking they would end up with something that would work better than the Spirit or the flesh alone. But the “alloy” they produce has no strength at all and fails when put to the test.  Why is it that we try to mix the Spirit with the flesh? Continue Reading »

FISHERS OF MEN

The Lord Jesus told His disciples that if they would follow Him, He would make them fishers of men.  Have you ever given careful consideration to that statement?  Here is the passage in Matthew 4: Continue Reading »

WHY SO MANY DENOMINATIONS?

It troubles me that there is so much division in the body of Christ. In every town there are several churches, all preaching a different “Gospel”, with different doctrines, some do this, some do that, and none agree with the other to any great extent.  Somewhere along the line, the Gospel got hijacked, and the “Gospel” we are hearing today doesn’t line up with the Gospel the disciples heard from the Lord Jesus. LEST WE FORGET

History has a nasty way of repeating itself.  Every great nation that has risen, has also fallen sooner or later, and there is a reason for that: they forgot from whence they came, and took on other customs, peoples, and religions.  And it can be no different for America.  It seems we have forgotten what we were made of and where we came from, and little by little, America has changed so dramatically under the current leadership that it is no longer bears much resemblance to what it was just a few short years ago.  And this isn’t just about America, it is about other places, too. PLEASING GOD VERSUS PLEASING PEOPLE

Whether they realize it or not, many people are more concerned with pleasing people than they are pleasing God.  When you look on Facebook, for example, people want you to “like” their comments.  They want to please people and be noticed and approved by others.  Is that a bad thing?  Not necessarily, after all, we don’t want people NOT to like us.  But what about Christians, should we be pleasing to everyone?   From time to time I read some very critical posts on Facebook about Christians, some even blame all the world’s problems on Christians.  It seems to me rather, that the vast majority of people are willing to “go along with the crowd” to be acceptable to them, even if what they do goes against what God approves of.
