HARMONY WITH GOD

Isaiah 55:9 says,   For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.   We are in no way God’s equal or peer by any stretch of the imagination.  But perhaps we can go so far as to say we can be in “harmony with God”.  Continue Reading »

GOD LOVES ME, HE LOVES ME NOT….

How many of you remember as a child wondering if you were loved by your girlfriend or boyfriend?  Maybe you would pick a flower, and pull off the pedals one by one, saying, He loves me, he loves me not…  And you would rely on what the last pedal told you.  Did the flower always tell the truth?  Continue Reading »

GOD SAID IT, THAT SETTLES IT

When I was a little kid, there were times my Mom or Dad would tell me to do something, and of course, my reply was, Why?  Being a typical kid, I always had to know why, and after tolerating my endless questions for a while, their reply was sometimes “Because I said so…”  Continue Reading »

ARE WE PROFITABLE SERVANTS?

Last night I had a dream that was very frightening.  Some would insist it was a torment from the devil.  But this was from the Lord, and He showed me the end that is spoken of in the Bible.  Let me describe the dream for you.  I heard a series of very loud booms, five of them in rapid succession, louder than anything I’ve ever heard in my life, coming from the sky.  It shook everything.  Immediately I looked up, and saw many large white smoking trails and fireballs falling from the sky.  Explosions all around, it all happened so quickly out of nowhere with no warning, there was only time to yell “Jesus, save me!”.  There was no place to hide or escape. In a few moments it was over, everything went black. Continue Reading »

TAKE YOUR MOUNTAIN

We read in Numbers 13 how the Lord sent twelve spies from the Israelites to spy out the land of Canaan.  They went into the land as they were instructed, and came back bearing the fruit of the land, and a report of how the land flowed with milk and honey.  Caleb saw the opportunity the Lord set before them, and said, Let’s go take it.  But the other eleven?  They weren’t so sure.  I see it’s really no different today. THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN SUFFERTH VIOLENCE

Today, let’s explore Matthew 11:12, and how this verse affects our daily life. We often overlook things in the scripture, or for lack of understanding, think they may not apply to us directly.  The Lord Jesus said,  And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.  Continue Reading »

FINISHING WELL

Most people who are sports fans don’t get real excited about the beginning of a ball game, or soccer, or a track event, or a car or motorcycle race.  But when the finish is near, then they get excited, real excited.  And if the competition is close, then the excitement is even greater.  Sometimes it gets to be a real nail-biter, if you know what I mean, especially if you don’t know if your team is going to win or not.  The heart starts pounding, you’re sitting on the edge of your seat, or maybe you can’t even sit still.  Continue Reading »

BUILD THE WALL

When I asked the Lord what to write about today, He referred me to the book of Nehemiah, Chapter 2.  Now, at that time, the walls around Jerusalem had been broken down, and the Lord put it upon Nehemiah’s heart to rebuild the walls.  As you read the book of Nehemiah, you will see it was not smooth sailing to accomplish that great task, for there were many adversaries that wanted to prevent the walls from being rebuilt.  And the Lord showed me how that relates to trials we go through today. PRAISE GOD NO MATTER WHAT

If you’re like most people, you find it easy to praise God when things are going your way, when there’s money in the bank, food in the cupboard, and everyone in the house is healthy.  It’s easy to praise God in the good times, but what about when things are NOT so good? Continue Reading »

SEEK WISDOM

Wisdom gives us sound advice when we are up against problems, and wisdom is worth more than all the gold in the world.  It is written in Proverbs 8:15-21  By me kings reign, and princes decree justice.  By me princes rule, and nobles, even all the judges of the earth.  I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me.  Riches and honor are with me; yea, durable riches and righteousness.  My fruit is better than gold, yea, than fine gold; and my revenue than choice silver.  I lead in the way of righteousness, in the midst of the paths of judgment: that I may cause those that love me to inherit substance; and I will fill their treasures.
