I like to use the phrase that Jesus used; “IT IS WRITTEN”. It has served me very well these past twenty five years since I was saved. Like many others, I’m no stranger to trials and temptations, and life has not always been easy, BUT, I am fully convinced that God will do EXACTLY what He said in His Word, though that flies in the face of what many say, “Well, you never know what God’s going to do….”

On the day of Pentecost, when the Holy Spirit was poured out on those gathered in the upper room worshipping God, the power of God began manifesting mightily in signs and wonders through the believers. Some people think that only the original disciples did signs and wonders, but that isn’t the case at all. What good would it have been if the Holy Spirit only did miracles for the original disciples, then quit after they died? Well, it would have given the body of Christ a jump start, alright, but it would have soon fizzled out. And “fizzling out” isn’t what God had in mind at all on Pentecost. It was only the BEGINNING!

Each day I get phone calls and prayer requests on the internet from people needing healing. For some, all it takes is pointing out what the Word says about healing and they are healed. BAM! And they have it. For others, it’s like pulling teeth to get even a minor thing healed. Even after nearly twenty five years of doing this, it still bothers me why this happens. What is the solution?

Why is it that some people are walking in the promises of God, and some are not? Does God love certain ones more, or is it that certain ones love God more?

This Sunday the “Christian” world celebrates “Easter”. Do you know what “easter” really celebrates? It celebrates the abomination of pagan gods, the goddess of fertility, symbolized by a bunny, and eggs, thus we have Easter egg hunts and colored eggs and chocolate rabbits, and all that goes with the tradition handed down to us from generations ago. And it has NOTHING to do with the resurrection of Christ Jesus. But like most of you, as a child I looked forward to the treats and candies and pretty eggs given to me on Easter Sunday. I continued to celebrate Easter in that manner out of ignorance into my adulthood, ignorant to the fact that it was an outright abomination to God. And some of you do, too. Some of you don’t even care that it is an abomination to God to celebrate Easter, because you’ve been doing it a long time, and that’s just the way it is. People say they want to know the truth, but once they hear it, they don’t always want to abide by it. When Christ Jesus was being questioned by Pilate in court prior to being crucified, it is written,
Joh 18:36 Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.
Joh 18:37 Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.

It troubles me that there is so much division in the body of Christ. In every town there are several churches, all preaching a different “Gospel”, with different doctrines, some do this, some do that, and none agree with the other to any great extent. Somewhere along the line, the Gospel got hijacked, and the “Gospel” we are hearing today doesn’t line up with the Gospel the disciples heard from the Lord Jesus. Continue Reading »

When you walk into a dark room and flip the light switch, what do expect to happen? You don’t get all excited and jump up and down when the light comes on after you flip the switch, because you EXPECT the light to come on, because it’s supposed to. You’re only surprised when the light DOESN’T come on, right? How about when you put the key in the lock to your home, do you ask someone’s permission to open the door? No? Why not?
