GOD MADE IT EASY
Each day I get phone calls and prayer requests on the internet from people needing healing. For some, all it takes is pointing out what the Word says about healing and they are healed. BAM! And they have it. For others, it’s like pulling teeth to get even a minor thing healed. Even after nearly twenty five years of doing this, it still bothers me why this happens. What is the solution?
One thing I’ve noticed that runs common to almost all who are quickly healed is that they know nothing or almost nothing about the Bible. It seems to be the ones who think they know the Bible that have the most difficulties receiving healing. And that is what bothers me the most. You’d think that if someone knew the Word of God, they’d be the FIRST to know the mercy and graciousness of God, how He gives healing out freely to those who seek Him. Why, they’d have to deliberately misread the Bible to miss out on their healing. Yet that isn’t the case at all. There seems to be a lot of false teaching out there, some out of ignorance, and some due to deliberately misleading people.
You might find it strange, but some church doctrines teach that healing is not for today. Well, if that’s true, then we have a problem with Psalm 103:2-3 which says, Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits; who forgiveth all thine iniquities, who healeth all thy diseases. You see, if we can’t believe the part about “who healeth all thy diseases”, then we can’t believe the part about “who forgiveth all thine iniquities”, either, for the Word of God is either ALL TRUE, or NONE OF IT IS TRUE.
It is written in Matthew 10:1, And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease. There are those who honestly think healing went out with the last of the original Disciples, that healing stopped when they died, because that’s what they learned in church. Yet the Bible clearly shows miracles of healing took place outside of the original Disciples, such as Paul, and Stephen, right down to this present day. Healing was taught by the disciples, and obviously they passed along the command Jesus made in Matthew 10:8, in which He said, Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils; freely ye have received, freely give. That’s why it’s in the Bible today, because the ministry Jesus began wasn’t to stop, but to keep right on until His return.
Jesus hasn’t returned yet, so the present-day believers of each generation are charged with preaching the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and bringing healing and deliverance to the sick and captives, it’s as plain as the nose on your face. Ignorance is one thing, but what really disturbs me is why someone would tell a sick person that healing is not for today. Maybe they just like to see people suffer, I don’t know, but it angers me, anyway. I was at a nursing home last year at a Bible study, and the Holy Spirit told me He wanted to heal people there. So I asked permission to speak, and told those present that God wanted to heal them.
There were two ladies near me in wheelchairs, one had her left arm and hand all curled up. The other couldn’t walk. I told the first lady, “Stretch forth your hand and move your fingers, Christ Jesus heals you.” She made the effort to stretch forth her hand, and her eyes got real big when she found out she could move her hand and that she was healed, and started crying for joy. I told the other lady, “Rise and walk, Christ Jesus heals you.” And she popped out of that wheelchair and started walking up and down the hall, just like that. And while she was walking, one of the ministers at the Bible study told them, “If it was really God’s will to heal them, they wouldn’t have been there in the first place.” I saw the joy go out of the lady’s face who just had her arm healed, and she curled it back up again. I wanted to knock that guy’s block off for saying that. How DARE he undo the works of the LORD and put that lady back in bondage?? Yes, I got her to straighten her arm out and move her fingers again, but it was a lot harder than it was the first time. The lies of the devil were trying to bring her back into captivity again. And she is STILL having trouble keeping her healing thanks to that man saying that to her.
Seems to me the Bible says in 1 John 3:8, He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. That’s right; Jesus came to DESTROY the works of the devil, and He DID IT, TOO! You know, Jesus told a parable of a man who was leaving on a long trip and gave his servants his goods with instructions “occupy till I come”. That means to keep and make gain with his goods while he is gone, not LOSE them!! And we, as disciples of Christ Jesus in this present age are to make gain for the Kingdom of God, not go around saying God isn’t healing anymore, or that God doesn’t want them healed. How can you call the Gospel of Jesus Christ “GOOD NEWS”, if it leaves them in sickness and captivity of the devil? Think about that…
I’m going to tell you something at the risk of getting “unsubscribes”. I’m not getting paid to do this, so I have nothing to lose by telling you the truth. If you don’t think healing is for today, then keep your mouth shut and get your face in the Bible and study it until you know the TRUTH! We don’t need people rising up and establishing the works of the devil again after Jesus destroyed them!
Way back in 1993 when God healed me of cancer, I got revelation right then and there that God does not want us sick. And since that day, I’ve done everything I can to get the word out so people can be set free. But for every one proclaiming the mercy of God’s healings, there are ten telling people they need to stay sick because it isn’t God’s will to heal them. And they are doing the work of the devil and don’t even know it. Or maybe they DO know it. God will sort it all out in the judgment.
All I know is Jesus himself said He came to set the captives free. And if preachers aren’t proclaiming that same message that Jesus did, and doing that same works, then they’re working for the devil. That’s harsh words, yes, but they’re true.
If you need healing, I’ll do my best to teach you how to receive it. After all, why would Jesus have taken those stripes on His body for your healing, if He didn’t want you to have it? But there’s a part for YOU to do; after seeing what God says in His Word about healing, it’s up to you to BELIEVE and ACT UPON IT! You see, God made healing EASY. It’s the lies of the devil that make it hard for people to be healed. Stop listening to the lies, and healing comes EASY! It’s a matter of you either believe the Word of God, or you DON’T. God cannot lie! Jesus said in John 10:10, The thief cometh not but for to kill, and to steal, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. So which do you want? Life more abundantly, or to stay in sickness and captivity. Healing is EASY! Sickness is HARD! It’s your choice! Choose God’s way!
It’ll take some effort on your part to learn what God’s Word says about healing, but it’s worth it! The multitudes that followed Jesus listening to His teaching, believed, and were healed. Same Jesus, just a different day. He never changes. Hebrews 13:8 says Jesus Christ the same yesterday, today, and for ever. Don’t miss out on YOUR healing! Listen to the truth and be HEALED!

Thanks Jerry for this good word. My wife and I grew up in church, and while we learned many excellent things (redemption through Jesus being the greatest), we were also taught some significant lies. Unlearning those lies and really grasping onto God’s truths is an ongoing struggle for us, but we are moving forward. Your sermons and weekly posts encourage us.
