There seems to be a lot of people who either don’t believe the LORD is returning soon, or just don’t care, by the way they live and speak. I for one believe He IS coming soon, perhaps during my lifetime, and it moves me with fear, not of being lost, but of not accomplishing what He has called me to do. And that is what? Many people I talk to are really worried about how things are going in the world. Lots of changes in our lives have taken place over the past year, changes in government, people trying to take our freedom from us, with fear mongers spreading lies and fear. With Covid making people sick with some dying, our children being forced to stay home from school, people losing jobs, businesses closing, things have looked pretty dismal. And we are just now a year and a half later starting to come out of it, but things are no where near back to “normal”. Many tell us things will never be back as they were before.

Let’s start right off with the Word of God today, in Proverbs 30:5-6, it is written,
5 Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.
6 Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.
Let’s face it, the Word of God as it is written is by and large not preached in most churches today. Either it is being “interpreted” to say what it doesn’t say, or else much that it DOES say is being skipped over and ignored. Whichever the scenario is, the hearers lose out.

When God created Adam and put him in the Garden of Eden, God gave Adam dominion over all the earth. Let’s have a look at Genesis 1:26-31,
26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
29 And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.
30 And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so.
31 And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

Out of nowhere the Holy Spirit dropped that question into my spirit today, so I’m going to ask you the same thing. Picture our lives like being in a boat out in the sea. There are two kinds of people; we can be adrift wherever life takes us, or we can grab the oars and row. All of us have a choice. Look at your present situation honestly, and you’ll know which type you are.

Have you ever gone fishing? I have, and most likely you have too. It used to be fun for me until one day my Dad and I were fishing, and he told me, “It’s kind of demeaning to us to be out here trying to outsmart a fish with an IQ lower than the water temperature.” I thought about that for a while. He was right. We were sitting out here as smart humans, trying to outsmart a fish, and for the most part the fish were winning.

Today my subject is the Passover. I’ll be using a lot of scripture here. It is written in Exodus 12:21-34,
21 Then Moses called for all the elders of Israel, and said unto them, Draw out and take you a lamb according to your families, and kill the passover.
22 And ye shall take a bunch of hyssop, and dip it in the blood that is in the bason, and strike the lintel and the two side posts with the blood that is in the bason; and none of you shall go out at the door of his house until the morning.
23 For the LORD will pass through to smite the Egyptians; and when he seeth the blood upon the lintel, and on the two side posts, the LORD will pass over the door, and will not suffer the destroyer to come in unto your houses to smite you.
24 And ye shall observe this thing for an ordinance to thee and to thy sons for ever.

SHOW THEM THE FATHER
There is so much trouble in the world today, if it isn’t caused by disease, or hunger, or evil people, then it’s caused by our own mind. It’s hard to have peace in your life if you’re like a ship on the sea with no anchor, being blown about by every storm. Back in the days when Jesus was ministering on earth, there were storms too, maybe not a lot different than the ones we deal with today.

By what means are we saved? Is it by our own works, obeying commandments and observing Holy Days? If that were so, we would not need a Savior, it would simply be a matter of our own choice. We could be secure in our salvation by making sure day by day we performed according to all the rules. But what if we slip up? Or what if we misunderstand some obscure jot or tittle and performed according to our understanding, only to find out in the judgment that someone taught us wrong?
