IT’S NOT TOO LATE

Earlier this week I received a phone call asking me to pray for a man who went into cardiac arrest and was brain dead, that the Lord would raise him up again. You know me, I’m bold as a lion when it comes to praying for the sick, because Jesus told His disciples (and I’m one of them), “Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give….” I’m one of those disciples of Jesus who take Him literally at His word, and strive to fulfill His commands. But I heard something in the spirit that I had never heard before when preparing to pray for one such as this: Judgment is set… Continue Reading »

GOD’S GREATEST GIFT

As we give and receive Christmas gifts each year, do we take time to truly consider and appreciate God’s greatest gift? You might say, Just what exactly is that? Well, being very happily married, I might be tempted to say “My wife”, but I know there is something even greater than that. Continue Reading »

DELIVERED FROM IT ALL!

It seems the devil has been turning up the heat on God’s people, including us. Don’t think even for a minute that Jenny and I are exempt from the devil’s attacks just because we are ministers. The Bible tells us that as the end draws near the devil’s wrath will increase because he knows his time is short. That tells me we have a lot of work to do before Jesus comes back. Many Christians I have talked to in the last month have been on the brink of giving up. God has placed Jenny and me here for a time like this. Continue Reading »

THE FIRST SHALL BE LAST, AND THE LAST FIRST

In Mark 10:29-31, it is written, “And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, there is no man that hath left house, or brethren or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the Gospel’s, but he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life. But many that are first shall be last; and the last first.”
When I awoke the other day I had a picture fresh in my mind of standing in front of the mirror in my bathroom. There were items in front of me, like one, two, three, with number one being the closest to me, and three being the farthest. But in the mirror, I saw item number three closest, and me the farthest, just the reverse of what it actually was. And that scripture played in my head like a recording. The Lord was telling me something I needed to know and you need to know it too. Continue Reading »

WHY BE THANKFUL?

Another year has sneaked by us and it’s the “Thanksgiving” season again here in the USA. So it would only be fitting to dedicate this to giving thanks unto God for all the blessings He has given us this year. Though sometimes we look at our circumstances and things look bleak, we still have LOTS to be thankful for. Just look at the news around the world; disasters, wars, famines, disease, earthquakes, floods, you name it, and it gets real easy to become negatively affected. It seems the more I look around me, the more I can thank God. No, everything is not as I would have it. My little corner of the world is not ideal, and no doubt, yours could use some improvement too. But it’s time to quit looking at what we don’t have, and start looking at what we DO have. Continue Reading »

BE STILL AND KNOW I AM GOD

For the past few hours I’ve been working on the prayer requests we get by email. I’m sitting here munching down on a peanut butter sandwich at 4:20 a.m. while writing this.  Last night, or a few hours ago, whichever way you want to look at it, I had the privilege of speaking to a few fellow ministers at a meeting and I was reflecting on it.  It seems in the wee hours of the morning things come sharper into focus, with the pressure of the daytime behind me, and the new day’s work not here yet.  Continue Reading »

SETTLE IT NOW

The Lord asked me, Since when does it change My Word whether or not you see it in manifestation?  Well, I don’t recall that I had been giving any thought to that lately, as I have settled in my heart that if God said it, then it’s done.  But not everyone thinks like that.  Continue Reading »

STRONG FOR BATTLE

This morning as I awoke, the Lord impressed me with a thought:  “Too many people wear themselves out preparing for the battle, so when it comes, they’re already too weary to fight.”  Well, that one got my attention, and I asked the Lord to expand on it Continue Reading »

HOW LONG CAN WE LIVE?

People often wonder how long we can live. Modern medicine thinks they have made great strides in adding years to our lives, yet many people die way too soon. Psalm 90:10-11 says “The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away.” So for that, many believe our years are limited to 80. And it would seem by looking around that’s pretty much it. But is it? Continue Reading »

POWER!

Well, praise God, the Lord is so good to us, and I know to each of you as well. The problem is never about God being good to us, but rather about the devil doing bad to us. After all, it’s all the devil knows how to do. You know the story; God is a good God, and the devil is a bad devil. Plain and simple. Why can’t people seem to get it straight then?
