THE LONG WAY HOME

The LORD loves His children, and wants to bless them in every area of their lives, but that doesn’t mean we will never face problems. On the contrary, we know Satan hates God, and being he can’t hurt God, then he goes after those who love God. And if you love the LORD, then you’re one of the devil’s favorite targets. He is an “equal opportunity” destroyer alright, meaning he would as soon kill, steal and destroy everything you have as anyone else’s stuff, but like I said, if you love the LORD, then he will treat you more “equal” than the rest.

WHAT DO YOU WANT?

This is the season when people ask one another, What do you want for Christmas? But what about the REST of the year? What do you want? I can think of several things I’d like to have; peace on earth, kindness from each of us, nobody hungry or homeless, to name a few. But let’s be realistic: as a default condition, mankind’s heart is evil, and that’s why the world is in the mess it’s in. Can we do anything about it? Yes, and no. On our own, very little, but with Christ Jesus, we can be thoroughly changed from the inside out. EVERY SINGLE DAY!

WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM GOD?

It amazes me sometimes how people say they want the LORD to do this or that for them, yet their words come against the very things they want.  For example, someone asks for me to pray that God blesses their finances, so I do, but they turn around and tell me how poor they are and how everything seems to go wrong for them.  What’s wrong with that picture?  I’ll tell you: they pray, then don’t see it as DONE!  Why pray if you don’t believe it’s done, even as you have asked?  So this is what I’d like to talk about today. LISTEN TO AND OBEY THE LORD

There is a lot of people talking fear in many places.  And like a bad cold, fear is contagious to all who listen.  All you have to do is turn on the news and you will hear bad news after bad news.  Does the devil indeed have the upper hand in the world today?  Is God on the losing side?  That depends on who you ask.  By the way some people talk, God is all washed up, the devil has already won, and it’s all downhill from here for God’s children.  And Daniel 7:25 was even used to verify that.  Let’s just look at that verse and a couple others for a minute, ok? THE WORD OF THE LORD IS PERFECT

We have all heard “The LORD said…”.  And to some ministers the favorite catch-phrase is “The LORD said, the LORD said.”, as they prophesy to people.  But we must be very careful what we tell people in the name of the LORD, for the Word of the LORD is perfect.  Psa 18:30 says;  As for God, his way is perfect: the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all those that trust in him.
