THE BLAME GAME

Have you ever noticed how people don’t want to accept responsibility for their actions?  They want to blame “someone else” for their decisions, so that “someone else” reaps the consequences.  And it’s nothing new.  As far as I can see, it’s been going on ever since the Garden of Eden, and we can pick it up in Genesis 3:1, Continue Reading »

PREPARE TO REPRESENT CHRIST

After all these years you should know me pretty well. I’m not one to go around spouting prophecies, although the LORD has revealed a lot to me over the years. But the Bible tells of future events before they happen, and as we study the Word of God, He reveals what’s about to happen on God’s calendar. The Bible tells us what Daniel heard in Daniel 12:8-10

WHAT WILL THIS BRING FORTH?

By now pretty much all of the nations are experiencing the plague of COVID-19, causing global problems. It’s pretty much proven this is not a “natural” virus, but a manufactured one, created in a lab in China, and it got loose from there. Accidently, or on purpose? We will likely never know, as China isn’t very forthcoming with its affairs. Who created it and why is also questionable. And most likely, there is more to it than meets the eye, like, who is behind it with their money?

GRACE REQUIRES REPENTANCE

We are living in an age of grace since the day Christ Jesus gave Himself as the sacrifice for the sins of mankind. People look at “grace” as a “free pass to sin”, and it is NOT. There’s not any of us who can claim to live a perfect sin-free life. If our actions don’t get us, our thoughts surely will. Are thoughts sin? They are if they are not in alignment with God’s will.

WHEN SICKNESS COMES CALLING

It is written in James 4:7, Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Nowhere in that verse does it say that God will run the devil off for you, that is YOUR job. As we submit unto God, we are given the authority to stand against the attacks of satan, but it is up to US to do the resisting, not Him. Well, the devil keeps attacking, hoping to wear you down, which he has succeeded in doing to so many people. Now, if you are continually drawing close to God, His Word says He then draws close to you. But if He seems distant, then it’s because you have stopped seeking Him. At that point, what you really need is a renewal of your walk with Christ Jesus, and as that happens, the health issues will fall away.

I’M LATE! I’M LATE!!

There’s a saying, “I’m LATE, I’m LATE, for a very important date!” We’ve all heard it, and we’ve all done it before. But there’s one important date we’d better NOT be late for, and that’s the one when the LORD calls us.

THE SIN OF COMPROMISE

There are few things I can think of that displease the LORD more than our disobedience, whether that be of outright disrespect for Him, or merely exerting our own will over His by compromising what we know to be His will, but doing our own anyway.  The common excuse I hear is “We are  not under the Law, but under grace.”  True, we have been given grace, AMAZING, UNDESERVED GRACE.  Indeed, we are for the most part a rebellious, stiffnecked people.  And yet, we want God to bless us with abundant health, abundant finances, nice homes, new cars.  The truth is, we have gotten FAR away from the Gospel of the Kingdom of God that Jesus preached, and the disciples after Him preached.  These days, it’s all about pleasing our flesh. CLOSER THAN YOU THINK

Every day that passes brings us closer to the day of the return of Christ Jesus.  It’s safe to say we’re closer today than we were yesterday.  The Bible says in Matthew 24:36-42,
32  Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:
33  So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.
34  Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.
35  Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
36  But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.
37  But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
38  For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,
39  And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
40  Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
41  Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
42  Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. Continue Reading »

AND WE WONDER WHAT’S GOING ON…

The LORD often speaks to me straight out of the Bible, giving me Book, Chapter and Verse.  And this week has been no exception.  At the time I was working on our motor home and was asking Him about why so much is going wrong in our Country these days, and it took all of about five seconds for me to get His reply.  He referred me to Nehemiah 9:33-37.  Well, since I had no clue what it said, I had to stop what I was doing and clean up and go get my Bible.  What it said really got my attention.  Here’s what it says: Continue Reading »

WASHER OR DRIER?

I read a comment on Facebook from a friend who asked why someone would want to go to a church that left them “drier” than when they went in.  And I agree fully.  Church is not entertainment, but rather a continuation of the worship you SHOULD be doing every day at home, where you go to be taught, encouraged, corrected, and healed by God’s Word.  Sadly, many churches have made big business out of entertaining the people.  And people wonder why they aren’t seeing the works of the Holy Spirit there.  I commented back to the effect that if the “Washer” was present, it wouldn’t be like that.
