THE BLESSING OF THE LORD

 

The Book of Proverbs is also called the Book of Wisdom, and I like to study from it every day.  Why?  Because there are 31 Proverbs; one for every day of the month.  And today while reading Proverbs 10, verse 22 just kind of jumps off the page at me, and this is what it says:

The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.

HE THAT WINNETH SOULS IS WISE

I’ve been doing some soul searching this week. Do you know why there are so many Muslims coming to the United States? They think they’re coming over here to take over our country and make Islam the law of the land. But the LORD has OTHER plans for them. He is sending them HERE so they can hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ and be saved. And who are they going to hear it from? Me. And hopefully YOU.

REMINDERS ARE GOOD!

As we each go through our daily lives, some of those days are good, and some are NOT so good.  It serves us well to be reminded of one simple truth in Psalm 100:5:
Psa 100:5  For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.
Of course, when things are going good, we are happy and praising God, but how about when things are NOT going good, are we remembering that God never changes, regardless of our circumstances?  Are we still praising Him, even when it seems He went on vacation and left no forwarding address?
