IF WE CONFESS OUR SINS

I love to start with “It is written”, because it’s pretty hard to go wrong with the Word of God. In His Word we gain wisdom, we gain peace, and in His Word we find the way unto everlasting life. In 1 John 1:4-10, we read,

THE PATHS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS

When asking the LORD what my subject is today, He replied, “The Paths of Righteousness”. In looking in His Word for that, it is found in three places. The Word says, Let every word be established in the mouth of two or three witnesses. We have three, so let’s have a look.
The first being Psalm 23:3, “He restoreth my soul; He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake.”

RIGHTEOUSNESS EXALTS A NATION

It is written in Proverbs 14:34, “Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.” Look around at the world in the news today, what do you see? Do you see joyful, prosperous people living in safety with one another throughout the world? NO? What do you suppose is going on? I’ll tell you for sure what it is: the whole world has a sin problem!

COUNTING THE COST
By Jerry Baysinger
The Body of Christ is made up of many members, speaking many languages, living in many different countries, having many individual talents, and having Christ Jesus, Y’shua Messiah, as the Head. The Body has been given an assignment to preach the Gospel of Christ Jesus to all the population of the world. The purpose? To prepare planet Earth to be an extension of heaven itself, to fulfill part of the Lord’s Prayer which says, “Thy Kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth, as it is in heaven.”

THE WAY IS NARROW

So many people believe when they die they will go to heaven, that Jesus just threw open the gates to heaven and everyone, everywhere will be invited in. Sadly, the Bible doesn’t bear that out. In fact, Jesus said FEW would be saved. Now if the stakes are THAT high, then it would seem to me that we should be spending our time fervently seeking God. Well, the stakes indeed ARE that high, are YOU willing to pay the price of being His disciple?

READING THE WILL

Whenever there is a death, there is usually a will left behind to ascertain the property left behind will be distributed as the one who died desires.  And of course, everyone who thinks they stand to inherit something will show up for the reading of the will.  Most sit there with high hopes they will leave inheriting something of great worth.  Now suppose the one who died was rich; and I don’t mean just “rich”, but wealthy beyond even their wildest imagination.  Now you’re getting the idea.  The will is about to be read, and all the family members gathered are sitting on the edge of their chairs. SIZZLE OR FIZZLE?

How is your relationship with the Lord Jesus today? Does it sizzle, or fizzle?  Usually I work my way up to the subject, but today I want you to realize we don’t have time to waste.  We know Jesus is coming back, but when?  It could be today, it could be in several hundred years, but each of us have our own “expiration date”, and it could be right now, we just don’t know.  Do you have a guarantee of tomorrow?  I don’t, and neither do you.  So we should be taking care of the most important matters in our lives FIRST, and our soul is our most important possession. THE FEAR OF MAN

Well, today I’d like to use some verses from Proverbs 29.  I study Proverbs each day, it is fitting to do so, as the LORD gave us 31 Proverbs, one for each day of the month. Today’s Proverb is fitting for general wisdom AND for healing, and you know how I love to teach about healing, as it is my calling.  Let’s get started: Continue Reading »

WHEN THE TRUMPET OF GOD BLOWS

Pretty much everyone knows John 3:16, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”  But do you know the next verse?  “For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.”   You have to CHOOSE to serve the LORD and be saved, and  many don’t want to.
