A TIME TO SPEAK

There are times we should speak, and times we should refrain from speaking. It is often necessary that we speak, but when we’re done, we should know when it’s time to shut up, but not everyone does. So many times we speak something good, and then follow it up with something bad, undoing the good we just spoke, and later wish we had kept our mouth shut. It’s a human condition, and most of us have done it. Some call it, “Open mouth, insert foot.” And that’s putting it kindly. Continue Reading »

MUST WE SEE BEFORE WE BELIEVE?

So many say, “I’ll believe it when I see it.” Are YOU one of them? On the day of Pentecost, the people were gathered in the upper room in one accord, worshipping God as though He was visible right there in the room. How about in your home, or in your place of worship? Do we need to SEE God to believe the scriptures? The Lord Jesus said in Matthew 18:20, For where two or three are gathered together in My name, there am I in the midst of them.

ARE YOU SETTLED?

One thing I often find when ministering to people, is that they are not fully settled in what the Word of God says. They think maybe they might be settled, because they’re trying to believe. And so they’re struggling every day because the devil is working overtime to convince them that God did not really mean what He said in His Word. It is written in Psalm 119:89-94

WHEN DISCOURAGEMENT COMES

Have you ever had discouraging days? Sure you have, we all do. And we feel we are left all alone in the world with no one to comfort us. Well, I’ve had a few of those lately, and just this week a beloved friend died who had cancer, whom I’ve ministered to, anointed with oil, laid hands on, prayed in faith, did everything the Bible called for, and he STILL died. And I’m not the only one discouraged, just think about his wife, parents, children, and family. What do you do in that case?

FEAR NEVER COMES HALFWAY

Recently I’ve been ministering to a lot of people with sickness, or who have sick loved ones, and the thing I hear in their voices the most is fear. One thing you can always count on, it that fear never comes halfway. It always comes as a full-on attack. What is fear? In its essence, it is faith that the devil can do more to hurt you than God can do to help you. In other words, lack of trust in God.

BE AS YOUR MASTER

The Lord Jesus spoke the following in Luke 6:39-40, “And he spake a parable unto them, Can the blind lead the blind?  shall they not both fall into the ditch? The disciple is not above his master: but every one that is perfect shall be as his master. Today’s teaching is twofold, and again, the subject will be on HEALING. Continue Reading »

BE FULLY PERSUADED AND DOUBT NOT

The person who believes God always heals, and the person who believes God does not always heal are BOTH CORRECT!  Ok, now that I’ve opened a whole new can of worms, let us embark on our journey of exploration.
I’d like to use Mark 11:23-24 for the launching pad.  This is not “thus saith Jerry”, but rather, “thus saith THE LORD”.  Your opinion or mine is not important whatsoever. What God said, IS. Continue Reading »

HOW CAN I TELL IF I REALLY BELIEVE?

“How can I tell if I really believe?” That’s a question I hear often, and the answer is really simple: if you have to ask, then most likely you don’t.  Believing is being fully persuaded, and that’s in spite of the circumstances you may be facing.  Keep in mind, just because you believe God’s word and His promises does not exempt you from difficult circumstances.  No, we are ALL tested.  And there’s a reason for that.
