WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO DO TODAY, DAD?

Did you ever ask your Dad that question when you were a kid? I did, lots of times. There was a time in my life when I went to Dad when I didn’t know what to do, and that was most every day. It was a good time. I wasn’t smart enough yet to run my own affairs, so therefore I didn’t get in much trouble. Oh, I could run and play, ride my bike, go swim in the lake, and generally have a good time, actually, I didn’t have a care in the world. Those were the good ole days. Continue Reading »

OUT ON A LIMB

By the grace of GOD, I will have been in the healing ministry for ten years as of July 2003, and I meet lots of people who need healing. Lots and lots of them. And many ask why they haven’t received their healing yet, or when they’ll get it. They sometimes ask in tears, ” Why won’t GOD heal me?? I’ve prayed every prayer, I’ve confessed every healing scripture, over and over. Nothing seems to work. Doesn’t HE love me?” Maybe you are one of them. So, if you want an answer, I’ll tell you. I know why you have not yet received your healing. Continue Reading »

STALE CORN CHIPS

Tonight I’m out on a trip to minister for the Lord, and I’m staying in our motorhome. Church is over, and I’m getting settled in for the night. I made myself a cup of tea and got out my notebook and favorite fountain pen to write. It’s these quiet times alone with the Lord that I really love. Just Him and me, my notebook and tea. And stale corn chips. Continue Reading »

NO OTHER WAY

Jesus said in John 10:1, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.”
And yet, there are so many people that are trying to get into the Kingdom of Heaven some other way. Continue Reading »

A RESURRECTED LIFE

Today is resurrection Sunday, and I know you’ve heard all the typical Easter sermons. I’d like to give you one you haven’t heard yet. This is one of my old teachings from years ago on John 21, something Jesus revealed to me, and it changed my life. It will change yours, too. And I’m going to add some new things that make it relevant to the resurrection of Jesus.  Continue Reading »

PUT GOD FIRST

Sometimes I feel like an octopus being pulled eight different ways at the same time, so it’s easy to see how most of you feel as well. We all have only 24 hours in our day, and it seems time is moving so much faster than in the past. How well I remember my younger days in which I worked a full time job on the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a part time job at my own furniture repair business, and still had time to work on a race car almost every day. Plus, I rode my Harley every day almost, and went to the race track to work in the pit most every weekend. Between all that I worked on cars as favors to friends and family, sometimes taking in overhauls over the weekend, and getting it done in a day or two. Not to mention mowing the yard, taking care of the house, and our own cars. Oh yes, and working on and polishing my Harley. I don’t want to forget that. Looking back, I don’t know how I did so much in 24 hours, but that was the way it was. Continue Reading »

DRAW CLOSE TO GOD

Watching the news draws a pretty dim view of the world’s future right now. It would appear that we are heading into yet another war. And the Bible says these things must indeed come to pass. So it isn’t very likely it isn’t going to happen, because the revealed word of God is just that. God went ahead in time and watched what all stupid stuff we did, and then came back and wrote it down for us in the Bible. Continue Reading »

THE LOVE OF MANY SHALL WAX COLD

Today I went to church and sat down, and saw a man sitting all alone. I had never seen there before. He looked like he was perhaps a poor man. No one else seemed even remotely interested in talking to him. So I went over to welcome him. He was a quiet sort of fellow. I spent some time just listening to him and had a nice conversation with him. In fact, he seemed surprised that I took the time to meet him and learn his name. Then on the way back to my seat, the Holy Spirit told me, Go look up Matthew 24:12. So I did. It says, “And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.” Continue Reading »

FLEECING THE FLOCK

Would you believe that some of the most hurting and abused people are actually members or past members of churches? Many people I’ve met since being in ministry will not even step foot in a church. Why is that? Are they against God? Well, yes and no. Yes, because they may have been terribly hurt by “Christians” who claim to be servants, or even ministers of God. Continue Reading »

SOWING AND REAPING

There’s a lot of teaching going around these days about sowing and reaping. I don’t know of anyone who doesn’t have a need of some type in their life, so this may be just for you. If you happen to be a gardener or a farmer, you will understand well what I am about to say. If not, read on, you will get the hang of it. Continue Reading »
