GOD IS A JEALOUS GOD

We are continually hearing about the grace of God, and that’s good. But we must be in balance about things, not just “majoring” in faith, and leaving out the other attributes of God. First off, God is Holy, beyond any description we can make with mere words. I’d like to give an example from Revelation 4:6-11; And before the throne there was a sea of glass like unto crystal: and in the midst of the throne, and round about the throne, were four beasts full of eyes before and behind. And the first beast was like a lion, and the second beast like a calf, and the third beast had a face as a man, and the fourth beast was like a flying eagle. And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come. And when those beasts give glory and honour and thanks to him that sat on the throne, who liveth for ever and ever, The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying, Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.

NO SIGNAL

NO SIGNAL

There’s a whole lot going on in the world right now that competes for our attention.  We can get so busy with our daily life, and spend so much time looking at the news and current events, that it’s easy to lose touch with what is going on in the Spirit realm.  One thing I hear a lot from people I minister to is;  “I just don’t seem to be hearing from God right now.  It’s like He isn’t speaking to me anymore.” Continue Reading »

When in doubt, DON’T!

Right about now you may be thinking, when in doubt, don’t WHAT???

Don’t doubt! Probably ninety percent of unanswered prayer has its root in doubt and unbelief. Some people having a need think, I’ll throw a prayer out there, and who knows, maybe I’ll get an answer, maybe not. I’ve heard it said many times, “Well, you just never know what God’s going to do…He works in mysterious ways.”
Actually, that’s not the way it is at all. God works according to His Word, every time. That should not be so mysterious. It says in 1 John 5:14-15, And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.

THE SEED PLANTED

As always, the Lord has a word for us in due season.  Today, we will call that word, “The Seed Planted”.  We can look at this from more than one angle.  First I’d like to go to Genesis 15, where the Lord spoke with Abram; Gen 15:1-6After these things the word of the LORD came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward.  And Abram said, Lord GOD, what wilt thou give me, seeing I go childless, and the steward of my house is this Eliezer of Damascus?  Continue Reading »

A BLESSING CALLED MUSTARD

From time to time the Lord gives me somewhat odd titles for what I write.  Or should I say HIS writings.  Nevertheless, as I was just waking up this morning, I knew what the subject would be called today.  And without further delay, let us explore “A BLESSING CALLED MUSTARD”.

Depending on what time you are reading this, you may be sitting down to enjoy a hamburger, and see this title and say, yes, mustard is good on a hamburger, so I guess mustard is a blessing.  But this isn’t about what you can put mustard on, actually.  No, it’s about if you’re going to be blessed or not.  Let me explain. WHEN YOU’VE DONE ALL

This week started off with the tires of our vehicles being slashed.  Seems a vandal in the area visited many people during that night, ruining several thousand dollars worth of tires.   And most of our tires were new or nearly new, and insurance didn’t cover it, resulting in expense for both the ministry and myself personally.  As you know, tires aren’t cheap.  I had every opportunity to fly off the handle, but somehow through it all, I kept my peace, though it cost me a day’s work changing tires on everything, and several trips into town to get replacement tires mounted.  When I was telling a friend about it, they said, It doesn’t do any good to tithe, because bad stuff still happens to Christians, even though the Bible says in Malachi 3 that God will rebuke the devourer from us, and He doesn’t always do it.

True, it does say that.  But that’s not the whole story. Continue Reading »

HE WHO ENDURES TO THE END

With every passing day we’re closer to the Lord’s coming.  This morning when I awoke, the Lord spoke to me, “And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.”  That is found in Matthew 10:22. To me that was a word of encouragement, saying, Hang in there, you can do it!  He pointed out to me to pay attention to the word “saved”, which in the Greek is the word “sozo”, number 4982 in the Strong’s Concordance, which means; Continue Reading »

IDENTITY THEFT

A friend sent me an email about identity theft this evening, and when I saw those words “identity theft” something just jumped in my spirit.  Aha! Now I know what I’m supposed to write about. Continue Reading »

OUT TO LUNCH?

There are many kinds of prayers we pray to God, some asking for comfort, some for necessities, some just to praise God, and of course,  prayer asking for salvation.  There are happy prayers, sad prayers, whining prayers, complaining prayers and “gimme” prayers, just to name a few.  Continue Reading »

INDEPENDENCE DAY

Today in the United States we celebrate Independence Day.  Some go watch a parade, or fireworks displays after dark, but most of us mark this as an important day each year.  What is “Independence”?  The dictionary defines independence as freedom from being under the control of others.  Continue Reading »
