MONSTERS UNDER THE BED

It is written in 1 John 4:18-19, There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment.  He that feareth is not made perfect in love.  We love Him, because He first loved us.  Fear is the number one weapon the devil uses against us. And you would think we would wise up, seeing we have the Holy Bible that tells us that our heavenly Father loves us and will never leave or forsake us, but yet…. Continue Reading »

HE MEANS WHAT HE SAYS

One of the best promises I can find in the Holy Bible is Numbers 23:19 which says; “God is not a man, that He should lie; neither the son of man, that He should repent: hath He said, and shall He not do it? Or hath He spoken, and shall He not make it good?” Continue Reading »

OPPOSITION BUILDS CHAMPIONS

It doesn’t matter who you ask, no one likes trials.  But little do we realize, God uses them to make us stronger.  Some of you may be thinking, “Yeah, with all the trials I’ve been through lately, I’m as strong as I want to get.”  But are you? Continue Reading »

FEASTING DURING FAMINE

I’d like to start out by asking, which is bigger; your problems, or God?  Most everyone would respond God is bigger.  But they don’t act like it.  I said, they don’t act like it.  By the way most people talk, you’d think the Energizer Bunny has more power than God.   Well, if that is the case, then God must need a new set of batteries.  Or could it be we’re not both talking about the same God? WHAT DOES THE LORD REQUIRE?

With all the talk going around about the next world epidemic likely being the Swine Flu, this seems a good time to take inventory concerning our relationship with God.  We know the Hong Kong Flu several years back killed thousands, and most likely we didn’t hear the true numbers that died, for fear of starting a panic among the people.  Isn’t that a good enough excuse to stick in the old dipstick and check our faith level? BELIEVE UNTO RECEIVING

The Lord Jesus gave us some real words of wisdom in Mark 11:24, possibly one of the greatest mysteries ever revealed unto mankind, when He said, ”Therefore I say unto you, what things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.” Continue Reading »

STAYING OUT OF THE DITCH

When I was just learning to drive, the object was to stay on the road and out of the ditch.  The dirt roads were narrow and the ditches were sometimes deep. Yeah, I know, most of you don’t know what a dirt road is, but it was back in the early 60’s. 1960’s, not 1860’s.  I’m not THAT old…. I remember my Dad must have somehow knew my eyes were fixed on the road about a foot in front of the car, so he told me to look farther ahead down the road.  It was hard for me to do that, because I was more interested in where I was than where I would be in a few seconds. GUARD YOUR HEART

Proverbs 4:23-27 says, Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.  Put away from thee a forward mouth, and perverse lips put far from thee.  Let thine eyes look right on, and let thine eyelids look straight before thee.  Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established.  Turn not to the right hand nor to the left: remove thy foot from evil.
These days it’s too easy to get your eyes off the things of God, for there are many distractions.  And if you don’t have enough of them, don’t worry, the devil will find a few for you.

THE WAYS OF GOD

If there’s anything I have learned about the Lord, it is that He changes not.  I’ve often heard people say, “Well, you never know what God is going to do.” Continue Reading »

GETTING SERIOUS ABOUT GOD

We can look at current events around us and see time is getting shorter, yet we tend to live for the moment, being more interested in our daily lives than we are about God. Tell me, if you absolutely knew today was your last day on earth; would you be a little more serious about seeking God?  As you read, keep that question first and foremost in your mind.
