WHEN WILL YOU BE HEALED?
The Bible tells us Christ Jesus HAS already healed us by His stripes, HAS done everything that He is ever going to do about healing and salvation, and that there is nothing lacking in His completed work whatsoever. That leaves the rest of it up to us to RECEIVE for ourselves what He has done. I’m sure you’ve heard all that before and it isn’t giving you much comfort at this point. God is apparently NOT moved by our need, but rather by our taking His word for it that it is DONE. I don’t see everyone I’ve prayed for being healed, though it is many, yet it bothers me when someone does not receive the manifestation of their healing. There are some ministries who say 100% of those they pray for are healed, yet some of the people who have gone to them end up coming to me. And some of them still do not receive healing. Is it a problem on God’s end? I think not, but some people are so hurt and broken, they have a great deal of problem believing even God himself.
It is written that whom the Son sets free is free indeed. Was that freedom offered to just a few, or all? You have to settle that question before you can put any others to rest. Look at the discussion here Jesus had with the Jews:
Joh 8:31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;
Joh 8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
Joh 8:33 They answered him, We be Abraham’s seed, and were never in bondage to any man: how sayest thou, Ye shall be made free?
Joh 8:34 Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.
Joh 8:35 And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever.
Joh 8:36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.
Joh 8:37 I know that ye are Abraham’s seed; but ye seek to kill me, because my word hath no place in you.
Joh 8:38 I speak that which I have seen with my Father: and ye do that which ye have seen with your father.
Joh 8:39 They answered and said unto him, Abraham is our father. Jesus saith unto them, If ye were Abraham’s children, ye would do the works of Abraham.
Joh 8:40 But now ye seek to kill me, a man that hath told you the truth, which I have heard of God: this did not Abraham.
Joh 8:41 Ye do the deeds of your father. Then said they to him, We be not born of fornication; we have one Father, even God.
Joh 8:42 Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me.
Joh 8:43 Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word.
Joh 8:44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
Joh 8:45 And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not.
You see, it wasn’t about who they were born of, but who believed His words, and who didn’t. We CANNOT receive that from God that we don’t believe. We SAY be believe, but DO WE? Aren’t we quicker to believe what our body says?, “I still hurt, I don’t feel any different, therefore I’m not healed.” When I had cancer and all its symptoms in 1993, I faced the same decisions YOU face, and everyone else faces, you either believe God, or you don’t, period. His word said I was healed even though I didn’t look healed or feel healed, but His Word was all I had to hang onto. Everything LOOKED like His Word was not working. It was my decision I would believe His Word and PROCLAIM HIS WORD, irregardless of my physical appearance or what I felt like. It was more a thing of convincing ME that God’s Word is true than anything, because I didn’t need to convince GOD that His word is true, after all, it’s HIS word and HE spoke it first, and it’s impossible for Him to lie.
In every case concerning God’s Word, we have the choice whether to take Him at His word, or not to. Do you think if we choose to believe, the devil will just stop harassing us and go away? If so, you badly underestimate both the determination and the ability of the enemy to destroy you. Guaranteed, you will have to contend for the promises of God and not waver. You must be MORE determined to receive the manifestation of God’s Word, than the devil is to keep you from receiving it. And his greatest weapon against you is your own body and your own mind.
You can have a thousand people pray for you, even famous ministers, and never receive your healing, or you can have even an unknown child of God pray for you and receive, it’s really YOUR choice, not the person praying for you. Yes, the person praying needs to pray in faith, but Jesus never said to PRAY for the sick, He told the disciples, and all those who believe today through their words,in Matthew 10:8, HEAL the sick. But even Jesus could no no mighty works in His own home village, and He marveled at THEIR unbelief, not His own. Here, let me show you:
Mar 6:1 And he went out from thence, and came into his own country; and his disciples follow him.
Mar 6:2 And when the sabbath day was come, he began to teach in the synagogue: and many hearing him were astonished, saying, From whence hath this man these things? and what wisdom is this which is given unto him, that even such mighty works are wrought by his hands?
Mar 6:3 Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, the brother of James, and Joses, and of Juda, and Simon? and are not his sisters here with us? And they were offended at him.
Mar 6:4 But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, but in his own country, and among his own kin, and in his own house.
Mar 6:5 And he could there do no mighty work, save that he laid his hands upon a few sick folk, and healed them.
Mar 6:6 And he marvelled because of their unbelief. And he went round about the villages, teaching.
What am I saying here? The Word of God always works for those who settle it in their heart that it always works. As long as you harbor doubt, ANY doubt whatsoever in your heart, you will never see the manifestation you seek. Once you settle God’s Word is true, once and for all, then you are unstoppable to the devil. But until then, you’re just wishing and hoping and believing that SOMEDAY you will be healed. There is no “SOMEDAY” on your calendar. Belief starts NOW, and continues forever. You never give it a rest. Faith is your servant, it will work for you, but you can’t ever let up on it for a moment, for the moment you let up, it disappears like the wind. Gone! Poof! and it’s very hard to ever get it back again. Doubt tells your mind, God isn’t keeping His Word, it isn’t YOUR fault. or, Maybe it isn’t God’s will to heal you. Well, if it wasn’t God’s will to heal you, then Jesus was defying His Father’s will by healing the sick, and you need to know, Jesus only did His Father’s will. No, doubt will keep you out of anything God is offering you, and if you’re smart, you’ll swallow your pride and ask God, Help thou mine unbelief, just like this man did in Mark chapter 9:
Mar 9:17 And one of the multitude answered and said, Master, I have brought unto thee my son, which hath a dumb spirit;
Mar 9:18 And wheresoever he taketh him, he teareth him: and he foameth, and gnasheth with his teeth, and pineth away: and I spake to thy disciples that they should cast him out; and they could not.
Mar 9:19 He answereth him, and saith, O faithless generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him unto me.
Mar 9:20 And they brought him unto him: and when he saw him, straightway the spirit tare him; and he fell on the ground, and wallowed foaming.
Mar 9:21 And he asked his father, How long is it ago since this came unto him? And he said, Of a child.
Mar 9:22 And ofttimes it hath cast him into the fire, and into the waters, to destroy him: but if thou canst do any thing, have compassion on us, and help us.
Mar 9:23 Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.
Mar 9:24 And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.
Mar 9:25 When Jesus saw that the people came running together, he rebuked the foul spirit, saying unto him, Thou dumb and deaf spirit, I charge thee, come out of him, and enter no more into him.
Mar 9:26 And the spirit cried, and rent him sore, and came out of him: and he was as one dead; insomuch that many said, He is dead.
Mar 9:27 But Jesus took him by the hand, and lifted him up; and he arose.
Mar 9:28 And when he was come into the house, his disciples asked him privately, Why could not we cast him out?
Mar 9:29 And he said unto them, This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting.
People get mad at me when I tell them the truth, but Jesus said, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth. When we fail to receive, it isn’t a problem on God’s end, the problem is always on OUR end! Jesus said, This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting. Unbelief is a tough one to overcome, and by fasting and prayer and careful study of the Bible, unbelief CAN be overcome, but it takes effort on OUR part, God will not just wave a magic wand and make it go away. God isn’t making you wait for your healing, YOU are making yourself wait. God has already done everything He will ever do about your healing, so now, what are YOU going to do about it?
I truly hope this is helpful to you. This understanding is what has kept ME all healed these 23 years. And I believe it will result in YOUR healing, if you steadfastly and unrelentingly apply it from this moment forward for the rest of your life.

pastor jerry,
Thanks so much for this article. Been standing for healing as well. Been prayed for a lot of times
And done a lot of things. I reaLize that it’s a desicion we take to take his word and act on it.
What I’m doing now is listening and meditating on his promises for it to come alive in my heart.
Starving my doubts. As faith comets by hearing and hearing gods word.
Please stand as well and agree with me in prayer for my complete healing. Tks
Best
Neil

I think it’s easy to tell if you’re really believing. When you’re waiting for a manifestation, you’re still fighting unbelief. If you believe, it’s as though the answer is already present. Then you move on with life “as if” instead of always looking to tomorrow.
