If you’ve ever done any gardening, you know seeds always reproduce after their own kind.  If you want to grow carrots, you must plant carrot seeds.  I’ve yet to plant carrot seeds and have a tomato crop come up instead; seeds just don’t work that way.  If you plant it in the ground and give it water and light, you don’t have to stand there and tell it what to do.  The seed knows what to do, for what it was created to bring forth is already programmed on the inside of it.
God set it up that all seed would reproduce after its own kind, and they can’t cross over to intermingle with others, and that’s good, for if they could, we would indeed have some strange creatures on earth indeed.  The same works in the animal kingdom, you can’t cross a woodpecker with an alligator, but if you could, at least it would knock on your door before it came in and ate you. Imagine the mess we would have if killer bees could crossbreed with gorillas?  You might have seven hundred pound killer bees that eat all our bananas.
In the beginning, the Lord created all the heavens and the earth with His spoken Word, and with that same spoken word He created humans, and we are the only creatures He created with the ability to speak our mind with words and change our environment.  Yes, parrots and their kind can mimic words, but they do not use human words to communicate among themselves.
Now, getting back to the seed reproducing after its own kind; have you ever noticed how angry words reproduce themselves resulting in more angry words being spoken?  And how quickly they reproduce!  Immediately that crop of angry words are spoken right back to you.  Anger reproduces anger, and the only way to stop angry words is to speak words of peace back.  It is written in Proverbs 15:1-2 says, A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger.  The tongue of the wise useth knowledge aright: but the mouth of fools poureth out foolishness.  What I’m saying here is if you keep speaking angry words, they will just keep reproducing themselves and coming back to you, so the only way to stop the crop is to plant another type of seed.  If you’re tired of eating carrots, stop planting carrots, else all you’ll ever harvest will be carrots.
Now, I know some people who speak doom and gloom continually.  Their lives exist only to move from one crisis to another.  And though I love them, it’s hard for me to be around them, for those words try to sink down into my spirit and make me speak that stuff.  And that’s exactly how the devil works.  You know, if he can get a couple people grumbling and complaining, sooner or later, he will get them to drag someone else into it.  They start off complaining about some situation, and soon it moves onto complaining about another person or persons.  And pretty soon, it isn’t just stinking thinking; it’s stinking words going forth, creating strife.  Like I said, every seed produces after its own kind, and yes, the seed knows what to do.  And we don’t need those kinds of harvests, do we?
Of course we all know someone who is sick, and all they do is complain about how bad they feel.  If you spend enough time with them, you’ll start feeling sick too.  Oh Jerry, my arthritis is just killing me, how about yours?  My reply?  Well, I don’t have any, thank you, Jesus bore all my sicknesses and diseases.  I’m not dumb enough to speak that junk over my body, because those seeds over time will reproduce.  There’s no sickness in me killing me, and I’m not about to claim any, even if it’s a joke.  Ever heard, That just scared me to death!?  Well, they aren’t dead, so they lied, didn’t they?  But even lies, if they are spoken long enough, become believed by some people.  Yes, you can actually talk yourself silly.  You can speak so much sickness over your body that the ears hear, the mind obeys, and you become sick.  There are people who love the Lord Jesus with all their heart, and yet still speak sickness over their body, and are sick and stay sick, and you couldn’t change their mind if your life depended upon it.  Rather, I speak what God said.  There are a number of healing scriptures in the Holy Bible, and the Holy Bible is the written will of God, His communication to us about what and who we are, what we can have, and how to have it.  And most of it is done with words.  Good words, bad words; they’ re all seeds, and the seed has inside of it what it will produce.  I don’t know about you, but I want good things, not bad things.
There was a famous minister that once said “We can write our own ticket with God.”  Many scoff at that idea. Imagine, us telling God what to do for us?  But that isn’t what he meant.  God revealed a secret hidden from the beginning of time when the Lord Jesus spoke in Mark 11:12-24:
Mar 11:12  And on the morrow, when they were come from Bethany, he was hungry:
Mar 11:13  And seeing a fig tree afar off having leaves, he came, if haply he might find any thing thereon: and when he came to it, he found nothing but leaves; for the time of figs was not yet.
Mar 11:14  And Jesus answered and said unto it, No man eat fruit of thee hereafter for ever. And his disciples heard it.
Mar 11:15  And they come to Jerusalem: and Jesus went into the temple, and began to cast out them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves;
Mar 11:16  And would not suffer that any man should carry any vessel through the temple.
Mar 11:17  And he taught, saying unto them, Is it not written, My house shall be called of all nations the house of prayer? but ye have made it a den of thieves.
Mar 11:18  And the scribes and chief priests heard it, and sought how they might destroy him: for they feared him, because all the people was astonished at his doctrine.
Mar 11:19  And when even was come, he went out of the city.
Mar 11:20  And in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots.
Mar 11:21  And Peter calling to remembrance saith unto him, Master, behold, the fig tree which thou cursedst is withered away.
Mar 11:22  And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.
Mar 11:23  For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
Mar 11:24  Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

Here’s an often overlooked fact, Jesus revealed our words have power to change things, not only in the spiritual realm, but the physical realm as well.  Who would have thought our words could kill a fig tree?  Some might say, that was Jesus, the God-Man who did that, we can’t do that.  Oh, is that right?  Then why did He say For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say …..?  Are YOU a whosoever?  I’m a whosoever, so what He said must also apply to me.
Now, am I to a place in my faith that I can “say to the mountain” and it will move?  Not yet, however, I am to the place where I spoke to the mountain of liver cancer and melanomas in my body and they moved away, with no treatments.  And I’ve been well ever since.  I spoke my sorrows and burdens away, giving them to Jesus, like He said to do. Life is good.  Why?  I changed the seeds I planted.  And you can to, so why not join me and have your latter days better than the former days?
What I’m saying is this: we readily believe the lies of the devil all the time.  Why not just move that “believe” over to believing what God says, over what every other voice says.  You will find what you believe in your heart, you will speak.  So, are you sick and tired of being sick and tired?  Then change what you believe, change your words, and you will change your life.  Are you downcast, depressed, broke and broken?  Then get into the Holy Bible, and see what God has to say about you.  God has a good plan for your life, but your words can prevent His plans from coming forth in your life.  You’ve spent enough time seeing what your words have brought you so far.  Are you happy with the harvest you planted the seeds for?  If not, you need to start right now planting the seeds of what you want your life to be.  Don’t wait   Don’t sorrow tomorrow for what you say today.  For what you speak over your life will eventually come to pass, because the seed knows what to do!
