STEP UP AND TAKE WHAT’S COMING TO YOU
Aren’t you glad that Jesus is still in the business of answering prayers? I get such joy from praying for people and seeing the power of God touch them. The Lord is moving in these days seemingly like never before in an outpouring of His mercy and grace, showing us His love in an unprecedented way.
No prayer request is too big or too small for the Lord Jesus. What a joy that He loves us so much. You know, so many people have a view that God can heal and answer prayer, but they just don’t think He will do it for them personally. They’ve heard of how someone else was healed, or received a blessing that just was incredible, but it’s always someone else, and not them.
But in all the people who have received miracles, there is one common denominator. They believed the Word of God found in their Bible concerning their need was written for them personally. And it was. In my own case, I got saved and healed because I read Psalm 103:2-3 and I knew it is impossible for God to lie, so salvation and healing was mine! His word was all I needed to settle the matter. I didn’t need anyone else’s opinion. God’s opinion was more than enough!
Actually, just like salvation, healing is available to all who will believe. Unfortunately, not many really believe. Oh, they wish, alright. They may agree it can happen, and hope, too, but deep in their heart, they won’t be surprised if it doesn’t happen. And it usually doesn’t happen. I said, it usually doesn’t happen. And the sad case is, it isn’t the will of God that they don’t get the miracle they need. If God had His way, everyone would be healed, and everyone would be saved, and everyone would receive their miracle.
Right now, you’re thinking,” I know that God can do anything He wants to, He’s that powerful.” Well then let me ask you this; If God could do anything, don’t you think He could get everyone to go to church and to get saved, and to pay their tithes? I rest my case. What’s stopping God? Unbelief. Your unbelief, not God’s. He doesn’t have any unbelief. That’s the only thing God can’t give you. No, you have to come up with unbelief all by yourself.
God made it available for all mankind to be saved, through the sacrifice of the blood of Jesus on the cross. But they won’t all be saved, because they won’t all believe.
God made it available for all to be healed, because of the stripes Jesus took on His back for our healing, and for the word in Matthew 8:17, “That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare (our) sicknesses.” Yes, Jesus made healing available to all, but all won’t be healed. Why not? Because only those who believe it will receive it. How about you? Will you believe?? Or will you be one of those who “almost” believed, and “almost” got healed, or “almost” got saved?
Listen! God doesn’t want you to miss out on the blessings He has in store for you. Let me tell you another way. Suppose someone very rich left you a lot of money, and you got a letter telling you to go to such and such bank and show them your identification and claim your inheritance within 24 hours or it would be given to charity. But you said, “This must be a hoax, no one would do that for me, and besides, I don’t even know this person.” So you didn’t go to the bank. The next week you read in the newspaper of a certain charity inheriting a huge fortune because (your name was shown) wouldn’t go claim it. You’d feel pretty bad, wouldn’t you? I mean, you’d wear a “kick me” sign on your backside for a long, long time over it. But it doesn’t have to be that way. Jesus has your healing already paid for. He’s just waiting for you to believe and lay claim to it. Let me twist your arm a little more and tell you plainly, STEP UP AND TAKE WHAT’S COMING TO YOU!
In fact, I’ll make it real simple for you, if you need healing in your body. No deep theology. No long, drawn-out prayers. Get out your Bible and look up all the scriptures you can find in the concordance about healing. Read them all aloud. Then say, “That’s MINE!” And keep doing it until it gets down inside of you and you know, that you know, that you know you are healed.
And if you don’t know Jesus as your Lord and Savior right now, Read John 3:16-17, 1 John 1:9, and Romans 10:9 and say, “THAT’S mine, too!” And it is! God made it simple for us. It’s men that try to make it difficult and confusing. Do it God’s way. You’ll be glad you did! I’m saved, and I’m healed. I took what I had coming, and you can too!
