Many people ask God to heal them, but the devil has them convinced that even though Jesus healed all the sick who came to Him when He was on the earth, doesn’t mean He will heal the sick today. He will tell you, “Yes, Jesus healed the sick THEN to prove He was the Son of God, but that was THEN, and this is NOW.  He doesn’t have to do that anymore.”  Let me help you here…It is written in Hebrews 13:8-9,
Heb 13:8  Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

Christ Jesus is just as much the Son of God today as He was back then. Got that?  He is still healing the sick today, just as He did back then, only He isn’t here in physical form anymore.  But He doesn’t HAVE to be, for He has given healing authority to His believers to carry on His ministry on the earth.  In fact, all the works Jesus did, He said we would do GREATER works than these!  How? by the use of His name and the Word of God, by virtue of our relationship with Him.
Heb 13:9  Be not carried about with divers and strange doctrines. For it is a good thing that the heart be established with grace; not with meats, which have not profited them that have been occupied therein.

Some of the “divers and strange doctrines” are those which say Jesus doesn’t always heal.  We need to establish and settle our hearts on the fact that the grace of Christ Jesus never changes, that He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Repeat that to yourself as many times as necessary until you get it.  It may take you once, it may take you a thousand times, but once you’re settled, all hell cannot move you.  His promises are sure to those who believe and act upon them.  How do we act upon them?  by believing the Word is true, even before we see the manifestation.  I often tell people to read the Bible aloud, “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God” as it is written in Romans 10:17.  Read it aloud, you’ll hear it, and it will get into your heart and increase your faith.  It will give you the unshakable confidence in God that will bring the manifestation of your healing, or whatever else you need.

Always remember what it says in Mark 11:22-24:
Mar 11:22  And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.
Mar 11:23  For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
Mar 11:24  Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

Think about this; if God lied in THESE verses, then He could have lied in John 3:16-17 too. If He lied anyplace, then we can’t trust any of it.  But we know it is impossible for God to lie.  If that’s what He said, then that’s exactly what He meant, and we need to act according to His directions.  God wants us to be blessed and healthy and happy in all we do.  He sent Christ Jesus to pay the price of our sins so we wouldn’t have to.  He bore our sicknesses and diseases so we wouldn’t have to.  He did all that for US, not Himself because He wants us to put all our trust in Him, so that we are not in fear or burdened over ANYTHING whatsoever.

The Lord Jesus said in Matthew 11:28-30;
Mat 11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Mat 11:29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
Mat 11:30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
Could it be stated any more plainly that Jesus did there? That shoots down another of the “divers and strange doctrines” that God wants you cumbered with a load of care and sickness.  Yes, Jesus did say to take up your cross and follow Him.  You WILL face opposition both of unbelievers, and the devil and his crew.  And some of them may even be of your own household.  But you can be at rest in Christ Jesus if you take Him at His word.  Unload all your cares upon Him.  God didn’t create you to be a pack mule!  He created you to have wonderful fellowship with Him!

Fear is not of God, it is from the devil.  If you have fear, then whether you realize it or not, you are not fully trusting God.  Fear and Faith are opposites.  Actually, when you fear, you are putting more trust in the devil’s ability to harm you, than you are in God’s ability (and willingness) to deliver you from harm.  When fear comes calling CONFRONT IT and command it to leave in the name of Christ Jesus. Fear is a spirit, and unclean spirits are subject unto us as a believer. That means, if you’re a believer and follower of Christ Jesus, the devil fears YOU. You’ll be amazed how quickly your fears will vanish.  It is written in 2 Timothy 1:7, For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. So that verse tells us something…if GOD has not given us the spirit of fear, then who did? It’s from the devil, and God doesn’t want His children having any of the devil’s stuff.  DON’T ACCEPT FEAR!  You don’t have to put up with fear, unless you WANT to.  But why do that?

Perhaps you realize you’ve been dealing with fear and unbelief and you’ve asked the LORD to help your unbelief.  He will, because with fear comes torment, and as the Word says, He doesn’t want you to have torment. In Mark 9:17-27 it is written:
Mar 9:17  And one of the multitude answered and said, Master, I have brought unto thee my son, which hath a dumb spirit;
Mar 9:18  And wheresoever he taketh him, he teareth him: and he foameth, and gnasheth with his teeth, and pineth away: and I spake to thy disciples that they should cast him out; and they could not.
Mar 9:19  He answereth him, and saith, O faithless generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him unto me.
Mar 9:20  And they brought him unto him: and when he saw him, straightway the spirit tare him; and he fell on the ground, and wallowed foaming.
Mar 9:21  And he asked his father, How long is it ago since this came unto him? And he said, Of a child.
Mar 9:22  And ofttimes it hath cast him into the fire, and into the waters, to destroy him: but if thou canst do any thing, have compassion on us, and help us.
Mar 9:23  Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.
Mar 9:24  And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.
Mar 9:25  When Jesus saw that the people came running together, he rebuked the foul spirit, saying unto him, Thou dumb and deaf spirit, I charge thee, come out of him, and enter no more into him.
Mar 9:26  And the spirit cried, and rent him sore, and came out of him: and he was as one dead; insomuch that many said, He is dead.
Mar 9:27  But Jesus took him by the hand, and lifted him up; and he arose.

Did you see that? Jesus didn’t scold the father for his unbelief, rather HE HELPED HIM, just as He will help YOU, for He is the same yesterday, today, and forever.  It’s one thing to go to God as an unbeliever seeking mercy and help.  It’s another thing altogether to REMAIN in unbelief when God has furnished all the help you need to believe.  The people back then didn’t have the New Testament to read about all the wonderful things God did through Christ Jesus, they only had the Old Testament to be taught by.  Yet the Old Testament taught of the coming Messiah.  Well, He came, He overcame, and left His believers in charge until He returns again.  We can read all about it, so in reality, we have no excuse for unbelief, that is unless we aren’t reading our Bible.  And there’s absolutely no excuse for that.

If you’re not putting the Word of God into your heart, you have nothing to draw on when the devil comes calling, and you will be utterly defenseless against him.  And that will be YOUR fault, not God’s.  The Word of God is truth, all truth, and nothing but the truth.  And the devil?  well, he’s a liar and the father of all lies. If you want to overcome the lies of the devil, you’ll have to fill yourself with the truth of God’s Word.  When you do that, you’ll realize you have nothing to fear whatsoever, for greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world, that God is FOR you and not AGAINST you, and He has given you everything you need to be an overcomer in Christ Jesus!  So get in the Word of God and get yourself a powerful, joyful new life.  There’s no better time to start than RIGHT NOW!
