IT IS SETTLED
We live in a world that is constantly changing. What was “settled” yesterday is subject to change today. Which ever way the wind blows, so goes the opinions of society. What was wrong yesterday is not only right today, it is being promoted. Not only that, what is wrong according to God’s Word is being pushed on us, with people telling us that God is ok with it because He has changed along with our evolving society.
It is written in Psalm 119:89, For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven. And in Malachi 3:6, it says, I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.
So, where does that leave us? It leaves us in a bit of a pickle, because it means that God doesn’t care what WE think, HE is the creator of the universe, and what He says is the way it is, period. Isaiah 5:20 says, Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! God’s Word says there would be a time when people would call wrong, right, and right, wrong. And we are living in it right now.
I’m so thankful that there is one thing that NEVER CHANGES, and that is GOD and His Word. What was true even before the foundation of the world, is true today. It is written in James 1:16-17, Do not err, my beloved brethren. Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
Well, you know me, I’m going to harp on healing today. Why? Because some of you out there need to be healed, yet you are plagued with all kinds of doubt: will God really heal me? Is it God’s will to heal? If so, why isn’t EVERYONE healed? And it goes on and on and on. Why is that? Because the devil doesn’t want you to enjoy the blessings of God. He wants you to think God is holding out on you. In reality, it is the DEVIL using your mind to stand between you and your healing: he will tell you, Yeah, God healed so-and-so, but He won’t heal you, you’re not worthy. Or he will tell you it isn’t God’s will to heal everyone, and that’s why you’re not already healed. The devil is a liar, and the father of all lies.
The Lord Jesus said in John 10:10, “The thief cometh not but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: but I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” Right there we can clearly see the contrast between God’s will, and Satan’s will. If you’re sick, you’re not living the abundant life. That means you’re missing out on God’s best. So how do you get from where you are right now, to that abundant life? Glad you asked!
It is written in Romans 12:1-3,
1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
3 For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.
God doesn’t want us believing like the world believes. That always leads to failure and death. No, He wants us to put our trust fully in HIS Words, which bring us life, unto life more abundantly. All mankind has been given “THE” measure of faith, not “A” measure of faith. If it were “A” measure, yours might be bigger or smaller than mine. But rather, we have “ALL” been given the same measure of faith; even the SAME measure that was given to Christ Jesus when He came to earth in the form of a man. You see, as a man, He had to play by the same rules that you and I do. He got hungry, He got tired, He had to sleep, everything that was common to mankind was also common to Him. God didn’t give Jesus any special favors, He had to study His Father’s Word and learn from it just like WE do.
Therefore, Jesus went through trials, and had His faith tried just like we do. It was the trust that Jesus had in His Father’s Words that made Him different than everyone else. I don’t know if you caught this, but Jesus said in John 14:10-15,
10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.
11 Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works’ sake.
12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.
15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.
WOW! Jesus sure said a mouthful to us there! Go back and read verses 12-15 over and over until it gets down inside you and you cannot be moved! He said if you believe upon Him, GREATER works than He did, YOU will do, because He goes to His Father. In other words, His death, burial, and resurrection bought and paid for the Holy Spirit to be able to take up residence in YOU, and His works can be done through you. Did you get that? You can not only be healed of every sickness and every disease, but you can heal others by that same power that lives IN you!
God’s Word is forever settled in heaven. Now, get God’s Word forever settled in YOU, so God can get you saved, healed, delivered, and get you working to help OTHERS receive the same! You see, God’s gifts aren’t just for YOUR enjoyment, they’re to deliver a lost and sick and dying world from the devil’s lies THROUGH YOU! So, what are you waiting for? Get settled, and get to work!

I always agree with your messages because I am like you, I take a stand for the truths of the Bible. Politically correct “Christians” might say you are too extreme and obnoxious due to your strong stand for God. Well, yes, the distance between the truth and lies is extreme. If someone stands for God against the lies of the lost it is going to make an impression, like turning the light on a very dark room. It will be very much noticed. Also the Bible says un Ephesians 6 that the truth is a sword. It is not smoke, not a smokescreen. It is not a soft and maleable thing eirther. It is sharp nd it cuts through. Many people get angry when the truth cuts dead all their beloved lies. As for healing, God has healed me many times in answer to prayer. I am 61 years old, almost 62. However I do think that God does allow sickness sometimes for a good reason. For one, it builds up our immunity, so getting colds and the flu, at the end will make your body stronger. God wants us to survive our diseases, to defeat them. I believe they are trials and tests of our faith. One King of Israel in the Bible did not look for God in his sickness and it is stated as a wrong example. God wants for us to ask for healing when we are sick. We have to turn to Him for help. He already has revealed that He is a Healer, that one of his dealings with us is healing our diseases. However some people don’t get healed because they are not strong in their knowledge of right and wring, in their knowledge of the Bible and if they get healed they would fall into some sin their sickness is preventing them from commiting. Jesus told the lame man he heales by the pool not to sin because if he did, something worse would come to him. That is a warning that reveals that sin takes away your healing and leaves you in a worse state than before you were healed. Therefore, if some people are nit strong in obedience to God, for their own good God won’t heal them.
