Have you ever tried to argue with someone that knew they were right? No matter how much you try, you just can’t win. Well, it’s the same way with us when we try to argue with God. There are two rules to remember when you try to argue with God.
RULE NUMBER ONE: GOD IS ALWAYS RIGHT.
RULE NUMBER TWO: IF GOD IS WRONG,

 REFER TO RULE NUMBER ONE.
About now you are likely saying, “This guy is nuts. Who’s arguing with God?” Well, there are a lot of people doing just that. In fact, if you knew how many people are arguing with God right now, you would be utterly amazed. Why, just the other day, I prayed for a sick man, and told him he was healed by the stripes of Jesus. The guy said “I hope so.” In other words, he as much as called God a liar to His face. Bad move, dude. Got lightning rods on your house? Hey, if God says I’m healed by the stripes of Jesus, and He does, then, who am I to argue? I mean, God created the entire universe with the word of His power. I’m doing good to create a newsletter article. And I’m going to call God a liar? Not me! I may not be the smartest man in the world, but I’m sure not stupid. Besides that, God said I’m healed by the stripes of Jesus for MY benefit, not His.
Why, Jesus could have stayed in heaven with His Father, and let us all rot in our sins, and not even bothered with the crown of thorns, the beatings, being nailed to a cross, and all that other stuff we don’t normally like to think about doing on a Friday night. I’m sure Jesus could have thought of better things to do with a weekend than going through all that for us. But He did it for our benefit, not His own. And yet, when I talk to someone about receiving their healing from the Lord, they will present every conceivable argument for why they think they shouldn’t be healed. “Well, God just doesn’t heal everybody.”

Well then, maybe I’d better find out who God is healing, and just pray for them. Saves my voice, ya know. And saves me some embarrassment, too. It’s not socially correct to pray for the wrong person. Then there’s always the one who says “That was just in the days of the disciples” Well, hey, I’m a disciple, so what about me? And besides that, my Bible says in Hebrews 13:8, “Jesus Christ, the same yesterday, and today, and forever.” Maybe we aren’t talking about the same Jesus? The Jesus I am talking about is still in the healing business today. He healed all who came to Him then. To the blind men, Jesus said, Do you believe I am able to do this? They said, Yea, Lord. He said, Be it unto you according to your faith. And they were healed and gained their sight.
Do you believe? “Oh, yes, Brother Jerry, I believe…I believe you’re crazy. Everyone knows that some people get prayed for and die anyway. That proves it isn’t God’s will to heal everyone. Why, if God wanted everyone healed, no one would be sick. God can do ANYTHING HE WANTS, so if He didn’t want people sick, there would be no sickness.” To that I say..BUNK!!

If God could do anything He wants to here on earth, He would get everyone saved. The Bible says in 2 Peter 3:9, “The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that ALL should come to repentance. If He had His way, all would be saved. But they won’t be, because God gives us a choice whether to believe Him or not to.  And that is part of His sovereign will.  And He will honor your choice to go to Hell, do not pass go, do not collect $200, as they say in the Monopoly game. And though He will plead with you to repent, He will never make you be saved against your will.

And I will prove my point to you. If God could do anything He wants to on earth, don’t you think He could make you pay your tithe???? I rest my case. But this God has done. He sent Jesus to take the stripes on His back for our healing, spirit, soul, and body. He took the cross and shed His blood for your sins, so you may have eternal life. Notice I said “may”. That word is “permissive”, meaning, you have a choice. God did everything and provided everything so that you might have eternal life with Him. And He is saying “COME UNTO ME”. But just like a rebellious kid, some will turn a deaf ear and pretend not to hear. Others will argue and say, That isn’t what God really meant. How about you? Will you come to the Lord and let him make you whole? Will you let Him forgive your sins and give you eternal life? Will you let him heal the diseases in your body?
OR WILL YOU STAND THERE AND ARGUE WITH HIM?
Father God in Heaven, I know I’m a sinner and I need a Savior. I ask you to forgive my sins and heal my body in the name of Jesus. I ask you Lord Jesus to be the Lord of my life, and to be my Savior, and fill me with your precious Holy Spirit. I repent of my sins and will be your disciple and I will follow you. Thank you Lord for saving me, in Jesus’ name I ask. Amen
