Continuing today developing my previous article entitled “THE WORD HAS NO CHOICE”, the LORD led me to Matthew 8:13, so using it and the scriptures around it, let’s see what He has to say:
Mat 8:5  And when Jesus was entered into Capernaum, there came unto him a centurion, beseeching him,
Mat 8:6  And saying, Lord, my servant lieth at home sick of the palsy, grievously tormented.
Mat 8:7  And Jesus saith unto him, I will come and heal him.
Mat 8:8  The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed.
Mat 8:9  For I am a man under authority, having soldiers under me: and I say to this man, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it.
Mat 8:10  When Jesus heard it, he marvelled, and said to them that followed, Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.
Mat 8:11  And I say unto you, That many shall come from the east and west, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven.
Mat 8:12  But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Mat 8:13  And Jesus said unto the centurion, Go thy way; and as thou hast believed, so be it done unto thee. And his servant was healed in the selfsame hour.

You see, the Word always does what the LORD sends it to do, HOWEVER, and it is wise to pay attention to this “however”, Jesus included a qualifier, “and as thou hast believed so be it done unto thee.”, means there is a part WE play in God’s will being fulfilled. If we simply say, God will have His way no matter what we do, indeed we magnify God as Supreme, but it appears God has chosen to give us a part in the process by saying , “and as thou hast believed so be it done unto thee.”  What does that mean for you and me?  Simply this: God has given us free will and free choice as a part of His divine will for mankind.  Salvation is available to ALL, no matter how serious the sin or for how long, BUT, will all be saved?  No, for there are many who refuse to believe, and they will not receive the gift of salvation.  Is that God’s will that any be lost?  NO!  The Bible tells us in 2 Peter 3:9; The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

So, does that mean all will repent?  Again, NO. In fact, we can read in Revelation 9:15-21 and in Revelation 16:8-11:
Rev 9:15  And the four angels were loosed, which were prepared for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year, for to slay the third part of men.
Rev 9:16  And the number of the army of the horsemen were two hundred thousand thousand: and I heard the number of them.
Rev 9:17  And thus I saw the horses in the vision, and them that sat on them, having breastplates of fire, and of jacinth, and brimstone: and the heads of the horses were as the heads of lions; and out of their mouths issued fire and smoke and brimstone.
Rev 9:18  By these three was the third part of men killed, by the fire, and by the smoke, and by the brimstone, which issued out of their mouths.
Rev 9:19  For their power is in their mouth, and in their tails: for their tails were like unto serpents, and had heads, and with them they do hurt.
Rev 9:20  And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk:
Rev 9:21  Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts.
Rev 16:8  And the fourth angel poured out his vial upon the sun; and power was given unto him to scorch men with fire.
Rev 16:9  And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which hath power over these plagues: and they repented not to give him glory.
Rev 16:10  And the fifth angel poured out his vial upon the seat of the beast; and his kingdom was full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues for pain,
Rev 16:11  And blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and repented not of their deeds.

We can clearly see that many will be lost, even though it’s against God’s will.  Now, consider this if you will:  You know me, how I love to teach about healing, and though healing is part and parcel with salvation, that doesn’t mean everyone who is sick is healed. Whoa..what do you mean, Brother Jerry? I thought you said EVERYONE GETS HEALED? Once again I have to refer to the same qualifier that the Lord Jesus referred to in Matthew 8:13: as thou hast believed, so be it done unto thee.
Yesterday I was explaining to a gentleman on the phone that although healing and salvation is available to ALL, we must BELIEVE WE RECEIVE according to Mark 11:24.  Sick people want to be healed, but want is not enough.  And BELIEVE is difficult when you are in pain and sickness, but BELIEVE is possible because the Lord Jesus commanded us to do so.  And that is in spite of what it looks like, what the doctor says, or what it feels like.  Many will argue that point with me and they are free to do so, but I am living proof the Word works, and for 21 ½ years now I have not had a sick day since I literally took God at His Word “By His stripes ye are healed”.  I was dying of melanomas and liver cancer and it sure didn’t LOOK like the Word would work, nor did it FEEL like it, nor did the doctor’s diagnosis agree that I was healed.  BUT AS I BELIEVED, it was done unto me. And I’m nobody special. God doesn’t love me more than you.  God is NOT going to break His Word to make an exception for you or me or anyone else.  He’s not going to save or heal you against your belief.  If you don’t believe, you don’t receive, PERIOD.  Not because I said so, but because GOD said so.  You can argue with God if you like, but my best advice is don’t waste your time.  Instead, use your time to get into agreement with God’s Word.

I like to read the Word aloud, and hear it and let it get into my heart.  Speaking God’s word brings His Word to the forefront of your thoughts where you can think about it and consider it and integrate it into your life.  It isn’t a “one-time” thing where you throw a verse or two out there when you’re in trouble.  No, it’s a lifestyle for the rest of your life.  And whatsoever trials you are faced with, you find what God says about that situation and speak His Word concerning it.  Facts are facts, and I don’t tell people to be in denial.  But when it comes to sickness and disease, God’s Word says He bore your sickness and disease away and took it upon Himself. He paid the price in full for your healing, so why would you pay a bill that someone has already paid for you? Rather, you deny sickness and disease to have a place in your body by speaking God’s word.  You speak God’s Word not to get God to do something, but rather, to reinforce the knowledge in your mind that God is good for His Word, and to remove your doubts.  Keep in mind, God has no doubts, so you aren’t preaching to God, but rather, you are preaching to you and coming into agreement with His Word.

Isaiah 43:26 says, Put me in remembrance: let us plead together: declare thou, that thou mayest be justified. Hello?? Are you paying attention here?  God invites you to remind Him what He said.  Why? Is He so old He forgot what He said?  No, you can’t remind God of what He said if you don’t KNOW what He said!  He said, Let’s talk about this…so that YOU may be justified. Keep in mind God is God, so He is already justified, but He wants YOU to be justified, too.  How can that happen if you are in disagreement with God with your unbelief?  Do you see how very important it is that you know God’s Word and believe what He says and bring your life into alignment with His word?  There are many things God will guide you into as you walk with Him.  Some of them may be totally out of line with what you presently believe, and I don’t force them upon you, but rather I pray the Holy Spirit open your understanding and you will then bring yourself into alignment with His Word as He reveals it to you, line upon line, precept upon precept, as it is written in Isaiah 28:9-10:
Isa 28:9  Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts.
Isa 28:10  For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little:

I know without any doubt that the LORD has called me to be a watchman to warn the people from Him, even as it is written in Ezekiel chapters 3 and 33.  Everything about my life is about my trying to turn people’s hearts to God so that they may enjoy His blessings.  But sadly, not all believe.  But do you know what?  My responsibility is to preach the Word only.  What you do with it is YOUR responsibility.  But know this: I will not shrink back from doing my job and God will not fail to do His part.  His Word will do for you AS YOU HAVE BELIEVED. So make sure your “believer” is turned on full blast while you can still make use of it, for one day we all leave this life and it’s too late then to get around to believing.  All you will take from this life is your relationship with Christ Jesus, or the lack thereof.  It’s either HEAR “Well done!” or BE well done…and the choice is entirely yours.  Choose wisely, for you have been warned.
