According to 2 Corinthians 1:20, For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us. Wow! What a powerful statement!  All the promises of God are “yes”, and “so be it”.  The Word tells us in Hebrews 13:8, Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever. But what if the LORD has changed? What if each new day we woke up we had a new set of conditions on the promises?  We would have to figure out what hoops to jump through in order to meet the new conditions of the promise, wouldn’t we?  But thank God, His promises never change for they are all settled forever!
And when it comes to healing, we can look at the circumstances, or how we happen to feel, or what the doctor has told us, BUT THE PROMISES NEVER CHANGE.  So what’s going on?  On the one hand, what we see, what we feel, are the senses we were born with.  God made us that way.  But what we see, hear, taste, smell or feel don’t change the Word of God.  You see, that’s where people miss it.  They think “This is what I feel so this is the way it is.” No, it ISN’T what it is.  It’s what you MAKE it to be with the Word of God.  Mind over matter?  Well, if you don’t mind being sick, all this doesn’t matter, does it?  But suppose you DON’T like being sick, broke, depressed, and all that other undesirable stuff, then what?
All the complaining, whining, bawling and squalling over it won’t change a thing.  Most of you have already tried that and found it didn’t help.  Worry never paid a bill, did it?  Fear is a mighty weapon the devil uses against us. Things are not going well where you work, and he threatens with “You’re going to lose your job. And then you’re going to lose your home.  Your family will be homeless.  You’re going to lose your possessions because you’ll have nowhere to put them. You’re going down, and there’s nothing you can do about it.”  And of course, worry and fear set in, and pretty soon, your health and mental state are a mess.  And the devil says to you, What about all these promises of God NOW, sucker?
That’s the time the believer comes back and says “What ABOUT the promises? God is FOR me, not against me, and all His promises are yea and amen, and HE never changes.” End of conversation.  You see, circumstances change, but the Word of God never changes.  That’s why it’s so wonderful having a relationship with Christ Jesus.  We aren’t like the rest of the world, we don’t have to be blown about with circumstances and every wind of change that comes down the pike.  Instead, we change the circumstances with the Word of God, like we’re supposed to do.  After all, Jesus told us, Occupy till I return. That means, in the Kingdom of God it’s still “business as usual” for all eternity.
I remember reading where Jesus told Peter in Matthew 16:18-19, And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.  And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
There’s something pretty significant here; Jesus said upon this rock. What rock?  The rock of the Word of God, and He most certainly didn’t say “PEBBLE”, meaning some tiny thing the devil could pick up and fling into the sea.  The rock is immovable, period.  Can’t be budged, forever.  Yet, when certain circumstances hit our lives, we fail to set our eyes upon the ROCK, don’t we?  No?  Then why are we moved into doubt and fear by our circumstances WHEN THE PROMISES OF GOD ARE YEA AND AMEN?  Come on!  Pay attention here to what’s going on! The devil is trying to get you to doubt the integrity of God’s Word, plain and simple. Everything the devil sets in array against you is designed to do just that. Fear, worry, sickness, lack, rejection, poverty and depression: it’s all to get your eyes off the promises.  Don’t fall for it!
