“To be, or NOT to be……” I remember that quote from high school, made famous by William Shakespeare in Hamlet. And every single day, with our words, WE decide if something is to be, or not. Do you want to be saved? SAY So. Do you want to be healed? SAY so! Do you want to stay broke the rest of your life? Keep saying, “I’m no broke, I can’t even pay attention.” Our words truly DO make or break us. And you’re saying, “I doubt that.”?

Many have asked me, “Why are only some healed?”, and that’s a fair question that is worthy of an answer. There are some healing ministries out there that claim 100% results, but I’m not one of them. In fact, if I find one that can consistently show me 100% healings, then I’m going to follow them myself and learn what I can. But from what others tell me that came to me after not being healed at others, it shows me that none of us are getting 100% results. One of the saddest things I’ve seen is talking to old folks who, looking back, regretted things they had done in life. Some had worked in jobs they hated, some had stayed in abusive relationships, and some ran from God their whole life. Time is so precious, and we only can spend each moment of it once. There is no “do over”, to go back and change things, so we shouldn’t waste it. Regret is a thief of joy, and it doesn’t matter if you’re rich or poor. Many would blame finances for regret, but you can be rich and still be miserable. In fact, there have been many suicides among the rich and famous.

It is written in Hebrews 11:6, But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. That verse is very clear in its meaning, and you don’t need to be a Bible scholar to understand it. You cannot come to God unless you believe He exists. And He is pleased that you believe in Him enough to diligently seek Him. And for that He will reward you. Rewards come in many shapes and sizes. We all like rewards, right?

On the day of Pentecost, when the Holy Spirit was poured out on those gathered in the upper room worshipping God, the power of God began manifesting mightily in signs and wonders through the believers. Some people think that only the original disciples did signs and wonders, but that isn’t the case at all. What good would it have been if the Holy Spirit only did miracles for the original disciples, then quit after they died? Well, it would have given the body of Christ a jump start, alright, but it would have soon fizzled out. And “fizzling out” isn’t what God had in mind at all on Pentecost. It was only the BEGINNING!

Each day I get phone calls and prayer requests on the internet from people needing healing. For some, all it takes is pointing out what the Word says about healing and they are healed. BAM! And they have it. For others, it’s like pulling teeth to get even a minor thing healed. Even after nearly twenty five years of doing this, it still bothers me why this happens. What is the solution?

The topic today is the question, Why did Christ Jesus come to earth? The answer has many facets, but they all point to one purpose, stated in 1 John 3:8, He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

Certainly, all who name Christ Jesus as Lord and Savior want to become like Him. The problem seems to be “the process” we all go through as the heavenly Father molds and forms us into the very image of Christ. It is written in Philippians 2:13-15,
13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.
14 Do all things without murmurings and disputings:
15 That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world.
