The Bible tells us to seek wisdom, yet most of the world seeks possessions and money, not realizing that if you have wisdom first, possessions and money come easily. God’s Word, if we will USE it, will teach us wisdom. He is the source of ALL wisdom, and He is not stingy with it, but rather, He wants us to listen to His instructions so we will become wise and be blessed and prosper. There is a saying, “The Word works wonders when the worker works the Word.” And that is the absolute truth! So, what is the flip side of that? If you don’t work the Word, there won’t be any wonders. It amazes me sometimes how people say they want the LORD to do this or that for them, yet their words come against the very things they want. For example, someone asks for me to pray that God blesses their finances, so I do, but they turn around and tell me how poor they are and how everything seems to go wrong for them. What’s wrong with that picture? I’ll tell you: they pray, then don’t see it as DONE! Why pray if you don’t believe it’s done, even as you have asked? So this is what I’d like to talk about today.
