INVEST WISELY

I enjoy fixing and making things, and one day one of my wrenches turned up missing.  Well, I have several, but nobody likes to lose something, so I went to looking for it.  And it became my focus to find that wrench.  Now keep in mind I have several, so it wasn’t like losing it would be a major catastrophe in my life. But the more I looked, the more important finding that wrench became to me.  After a couple hours of diligent searching, you would have thought it was made of the purest gold and covered with the finest diamonds. WHAT’S ON GOD’S MIND?

The other morning as I was waking up, the LORD dropped something into my spirit that we all need to hear. This is what I heard: “When someone sins against another, the offended one thinks of how they can get even.  When someone sins against Me, I’m looking for a way to forgive and reconcile them to Me.” Think about that for a moment, and you will see how vastly God’s nature is higher than man’s.  If everyone thought like that, there would be no war. HOW DO YOU KNOW?

People have many ideas about how to determine if someone is really a follower of Christ Jesus. And of course, if you happen to be a minister, the bar is set higher.  Some make that determination based on how big a church a pastor might have, or how many followers they have on Facebook, or how many times they’ve been on TV. Others might say, Wow, they’re really anointed; they have a jet (or more than one)!  Another might base their opinion on how many books they have published, or how many letters follow their name.  But does any of that matter to God?
