DON’T ARGUE WITH GOD

DON’T ABUSE GRACE

   We hear a lot about “grace” in the Christian faith.  Grace is defined as “undeserved merit”, and it is the backbone of our salvation.  The Lord Jesus died a horrible death on the cross in order to pay the price for our sins, having no sin of his own, but receiving the punishment that should have been ours in His own body, in our place.  Some would say “Thank you”, and go about their merry way, living in “grace” any way they see fit, whether it pleases God or not.  Is there more to it than that? MUSTARD SEED FAITH

   Prayer is a basic ingredient of the Christian faith, and faith is the power that makes prayer work.  So then, how does faith work?  Well, for some, not too well apparently.  We go through the motions of praying as our particular denomination has taught us, some begging, some declaring, some even commanding, some asking over and over and over again.  There are as many methods as there are denominations.  Everyone thinks they have the answer, but do they?  After all, the proof is in the results as they say.  There is a right and a wrong way to cause our faith to work, and the Lord Jesus gave us some valuable insight regarding faith in Matthew 17:14-21: Continue Reading »

WHAT DO YOU FEAR?

   It is said that everyone is afraid of something.  Some people have a fear of spiders, some fear losing their hair, some fear being rejected by others.  There are as many fears as there are people, if not more.  There is a fear of poverty, a fear of dying of a disease, a fear of having a piano fall out of the sky on your head, you name it, the devil can come up with something for you to fear.  Yes, even I have a fear, but that is being found not believing God’s Word.  Look at Hebrews 4:1-3: Continue Reading »
