REVEALING SECRETS

Here’s something that came up in my spirit this morning that I’d like to share with you. It is written in Proverbs 11:13, A talebearer revealeth secrets: but he that is of a faithful spirit concealeth the matter.
We all probably know someone who, for one reason or another, likes to tell others about things told them in confidence. But according to the above verse, God doesn’t seem to like that. There was a TV show on many years ago where a lady sang, “We’re not ones to go around spreading rumors. Why really, we’re just not the gossipy kind! Oh, you’ll never hear one of us repeating gossip, so you’d better be sure to listen close the first time.” Now I know this has nothing to do with what I usually preach, but there must be a reason the LORD put this in my spirit today, and someone out there needs to hear this.

JUDGMENT IS COMING

Each day I study Proverbs because there is one for each day of the month. There is a particular verse I like in today’s Proverb, 29:16, When the wicked are multiplied, transgression increaseth: but the righteous shall see their fall.

LOVE COVERS ALL SINS

What would it be like if everyone covered everyone else’s sins with love? Instead of finding and revealing everyone’s faults, we would instead ask ourselves, “Would we want others broadcasting OUR faults?” Well of course we wouldn’t, but that doesn’t stop it from happening, does it? What we all need in this “downtime” that much of the world is going through right now is more love and understanding. No matter who you are, you need your sins forgiven. There is NO ONE who can say they have no sin, we are ALL sinners, and as such, we are in need of mercy!

WAITING FOR HEALING

Today I received a lengthy text message from one of my friends questioning why people have to wait for healing, and why isn’t there someone out there with the power to heal like the disciples did? Sooooooo, let’s look into that one today.

HEALING IS EASY

Today I’d like to talk about healing. Why? Because a lot of people need it, and jump through all kinds of hoops trying to be well. They spend vast fortunes on doctors and medicines, and success is measured by the amount spent, if at all. Sometimes I wonder why people stumble at healing so badly, when God made it so simple and easy.

IN ALL THINGS GIVE THANKS

Ever have one of those days that just doesn’t go the way you planned?  Today I was on my way to Oklahoma to a ministry conference, and my vehicle started vibrating badly like the driveshaft was out of balance.  It seemed like at any moment it might come out of there and pass me.  So my trip was interrupted to spend the night at a hotel out of town.  Hopefully it will be a simple and inexpensive repair, and I’ll be back on my way tomorrow.  Funny thing, most of the day a song has been going through my mind, “And in all things give Him thanks…..” Yeah, I guess that means even when your vehicle breaks.  Don’t get me wrong: I’m not thankful FOR the trouble, but I’m thankful IN the trouble.  Maybe it’s just a test.  Maybe it’s the devil trying to aggravate me, but I’m going to aggravate him back by praising God.  And if it isn’t the devil behind it, that’s ok, I’m going to praise God anyway, because it’s the right thing to do. REMINDERS ARE GOOD!

As we each go through our daily lives, some of those days are good, and some are NOT so good.  It serves us well to be reminded of one simple truth in Psalm 100:5:
Psa 100:5  For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.
Of course, when things are going good, we are happy and praising God, but how about when things are NOT going good, are we remembering that God never changes, regardless of our circumstances?  Are we still praising Him, even when it seems He went on vacation and left no forwarding address?

LOOKING IN, OR GOING IN?

Not being one to waste time, let me get to the heart of what the LORD is saying to us today: Is the Lord Jesus a mere casual acquaintance, or your most precious relationship? For example, we will say you know about the Queen of England.  But if someone asks her if she knows YOU, will she say “Certainly!  We have spent many wonderful hours together!” Or, will she shake her head and say, “I don’t recall the name”. Let me put it like this; when your name comes up in heaven, and it will, does the Lord Jesus sayWHO???? Or does He KNOW you? Continue Reading »
