OLD VERSUS NEW COVENANT

There is a group of people I deal with that seems to gravitate toward the Old Testament and not so much toward the New.  And they’re very sincere in their beliefs, and adhere to them.  So today I’d like to just scratch the surface of “old versus new”.  You can’t cover a lot in just a few pages, nor do I intend to, but just enough to show you a difference between how God was
“then”, and how He is “now”.  And before you say “God never changes”, like that particular group says, then maybe we’d better reconsider that.  Or, HAS He changed? Continue Reading »

IT IS FINISHED

So often when people need healing, they get the mistaken idea that it is something that they need to talk God into doing for them.  And some even try to “bargain” with God, that if He heals them, they will do such-and-such to give Him glory. And when nothing happens, then of course the “religious” people will tell them, “Maybe it isn’t God’s will to heal you…”  or perhaps, “You must have sin in your life, therefore God cannot (or will not) heal you.”  I tell you, there is no end of reasons people get talked out of their healing.  And NONE of them are aligned with the Word of God. WHICH CAME FIRST?

When I read about all the healings that Christ Jesus did, I have to ask myself a question:  Which came first, the healing, or the believing? Continue Reading »

AND HE HEALED THEM ALL

Having been in the healing ministry for nearly 29 years now, I’ve heard every imaginable excuse why people can’t be healed.  Sometimes I think people really DON’T want to be healed, but just say they do.  Maybe they like the sympathy and attention they get.  But not me, I like being healed and healthy.  That’s not to say I haven’t had attacks down through the years, but like it is written in Luke 6:17-19, HE HEALED THEM ALL.  EVERY ONE OF THEM. THE BLESSING OF THE LORD

The Book of Proverbs is also called the Book of Wisdom, and I like to study from it every day.  Why?  Because there are 31 Proverbs; one for every day of the month.  And today while reading Proverbs 10, verse 22 just kind of jumps off the page at me, and this is what it says:

The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.

A SOFT ANSWER

Proverbs is a book I often teach from, and today Proverbs 15:1 comes to mind, and it should be an easy one to memorize, for it will come in handy many times in your life.  It says, A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger.  Continue Reading »

LOVINGKINDNESS

A word kept repeating in my spirit last night and today; LOVINGKINDNESS. That’s certainly what is needed in each of our lives, more and more as the days continue to grow more evil day by day.  In today’s dog-eat-dog world, there isn’t a lot of lovingkindness.  That’s not to say it doesn’t exist, but it’s in pretty short supply, and I’m talking about even in GOD’S PEOPLE! WHAT IS YOUR FOCUS?

There seems to be a lot of people who either don’t believe the LORD is returning soon, or just don’t care, by the way they live and speak.  I for one believe He IS coming soon, perhaps during my lifetime, and it moves me with fear, not of being lost, but of not accomplishing what He has called me to do.  And that is what?  Preaching the Kingdom of God and asking people to repent and become disciples of Christ Jesus. BE MERCIFUL

God is merciful, and if we want to please Him, then we must be too.  And I guarantee you that there are enough “jerks” sprinkled among us, that being merciful isn’t always easy to do.  Yet I think of how we treat the LORD many times, and I’m amazed He hasn’t made crispy critters out of most of us.  God nearly destroyed all of mankind back in the flood, and only Noah and his family were spared.  Here we are thousands of years later, and I’m wondering how God can put up with us even another day.  It isn’t going to be pretty when He decides to deal with mankind’s evil. REVEALING SECRETS

Here’s something that came up in my spirit this morning that I’d like to share with you. It is written in Proverbs 11:13, A talebearer revealeth secrets: but he that is of a faithful spirit concealeth the matter.
We all probably know someone who, for one reason or another, likes to tell others about things told them in confidence. But according to the above verse, God doesn’t seem to like that. There was a TV show on many years ago where a lady sang, “We’re not ones to go around spreading rumors. Why really, we’re just not the gossipy kind! Oh, you’ll never hear one of us repeating gossip, so you’d better be sure to listen close the first time.” Now I know this has nothing to do with what I usually preach, but there must be a reason the LORD put this in my spirit today, and someone out there needs to hear this.
