FOR THE JOY SET BEFORE US

It is natural to get discouraged from time to time as the devil hurls his arrows at us, and he uses that to distract us from our main purpose in life, and that is to daily grow closer to the LORD.  It is written in Hebrews 12:1-2,
1  Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
2  Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. Continue Reading »

SIZZLE OR FIZZLE?

How is your relationship with the Lord Jesus today? Does it sizzle, or fizzle?  Usually I work my way up to the subject, but today I want you to realize we don’t have time to waste.  We know Jesus is coming back, but when?  It could be today, it could be in several hundred years, but each of us have our own “expiration date”, and it could be right now, we just don’t know.  Do you have a guarantee of tomorrow?  I don’t, and neither do you.  So we should be taking care of the most important matters in our lives FIRST, and our soul is our most important possession. INVEST WISELY

I enjoy fixing and making things, and one day one of my wrenches turned up missing.  Well, I have several, but nobody likes to lose something, so I went to looking for it.  And it became my focus to find that wrench.  Now keep in mind I have several, so it wasn’t like losing it would be a major catastrophe in my life. But the more I looked, the more important finding that wrench became to me.  After a couple hours of diligent searching, you would have thought it was made of the purest gold and covered with the finest diamonds. And I was going to find that wrench, even if it meant moving everything out of my garage one piece at a time. Continue Reading »
