MOVE ON

Is your future dictated by your past?  Well, you would think so by the way most people act.  If you look at their past behavior, you can most likely predict their future.  Is that the way it SHOULD be?  No, but that’s the way it usually is.  So, is there a cure?  That depends.  The CURE is CHRIST JESUS, but it’s like taking medicine.  If you’re sick and you are one to take medicine, what good will the medicine do if you don’t take it? DON’T SHIPWRECK YOUR FAITH

Every born-again Christian has been given exceedingly great and wonderful promises by the Word of God, things that we have available for the taking, peace, joy, blessing, healthy bodies, and much more.  But does that mean every Christian will walk in those blessings?  Let’s explore that today. FEEDING THE FLOCK

As we travel from church to church, every member from every congregation differs from one another, but they all have one thing in common, they all need to be fed the Word of God.  Sadly, many of the sheep are spiritually starved to death.  Why is that?  Are the pastors really paying attention to the needs of the flock, or, are the sheep just not wanting to be fed?  Or is it a little of both?  Continue Reading »

WHO IS IN CHARGE?

There’s something the LORD wants me to address that affects not only how we believe, but how we have acted as well.  In the past I’ve talked about the so-called Burger King mentality that many Christians have.  You can go to Burger King and get a hamburger pretty much any way you want it, and there’s no wrong way, for your way will always be the right way.  If you want a conventional hamburger, that’s fine.  But if you want the meat on the outside and the bun in the middle, that’s ok too.  If you’d like French fries on your hamburger with pie in the center, you can have that.  Whatever you want, it’s ok.  So we think we can experience God on those terms as well.  Can we really?  Let’s explore that today. SPEAK THE WORD ONLY

Today let’s explore the effect words have in your life.  Remember the old saying, “Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me”?  Some of you are too young to remember that one, but nevertheless, words can and DO hurt people.  Many of you still have lingering hurt from names you were called in the past, or bad things said about you that were not true.  Maybe some of these things were said yesterday or even today. A NEW LIFE

Many of you know I love to teach about healing, how and why it is a part of salvation, but there is a whole lot more to salvation than healing.  After all, what good is it having a healed body if you were to still end up being shut out of the Kingdom of God?  Really, it’s about a new life in Christ Jesus, so let’s talk about that today. DOES THE HOLY SPIRIT HAVE YOU?

Many Christians tell me they have received the Holy Spirit, but not all, however.  Why is that?  The Holy Spirit has been available to every believer since that day of Pentecost over two thousand years ago when the Holy Spirit fell upon the 120 believers gathered in the upper room, which we read about in Acts chapter two. NOW JUST THANK HIM

The disciples asked the Lord Jesus how they were to pray, and if anyone ever knew how to pray, it would be Him, wouldn’t you say? What instructions did He give them?  Beg and plead?  Whip themselves with chains?  Fast?  Go about with sad faces?  All of the above?  No, it was NONE of the above.  Continue Reading »

IS HEALING AUTOMATIC FOR A CHRISTIAN?

Does healing come automatically when you become a Christian?  If so then, why do some Christians get sick, and why do some never manifest their healing?  Let’s explore those questions today. Continue Reading »

DON’T QUENCH THE HOLY SPIRIT

How does God work in the world today, and do we have anything to do with it?  The Bible tells us that when the Lord Jesus returned to heaven, He sent the Holy Spirit, whom He called the Comforter, to help us.  In other words, all the help we will ever have from God will come through the working of the Holy Spirit.
