Let me start off by asking you a question: do you know what trials are? You may think, THAT’S a dumb question, of course I know what trials are, seems that’s all I have these days. Perhaps I can help you look at trials in another light, sort of like the half-full or half-empty glass, depending which way you see things. Nobody wakes up in the morning asking God to give them trials. Ever wonder why that is? As near as I can gather, we all like to be comfortable. All of us have faced trials in our lives, no matter where you live or what your upbringing. And as the days we live in grow more evil by the day, often we find ourselves asking others to pray for us. And that’s good! None of us are an island to ourselves, but we are interconnected, both with God, and to our brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus. There’s an old saying: a chain is only as strong as its weakest link. Sometimes our particular link in the chain of things is not as strong as we would like to think it is, and it’s nice to know the Lord Jesus is interceding to His heavenly Father for us.
