WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM GOD?

It amazes me sometimes how people say they want the LORD to do this or that for them, yet their words come against the very things they want.  For example, someone asks for me to pray that God blesses their finances, so I do, but they turn around and tell me how poor they are and how everything seems to go wrong for them.  What’s wrong with that picture?  I’ll tell you: they pray, then don’t see it as DONE!  Why pray if you don’t believe it’s done, even as you have asked?  So this is what I’d like to talk about today. FAITH, OR FAKING IT?

Today I’d like to crank you up, and help you to come into a better place in the LORD.  It is written in Proverbs 4:5-7:
Pro 4:5  Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not; neither decline from the words of my mouth.
Pro 4:6  Forsake her not, and she shall preserve thee: love her, and she shall keep thee.
Pro 4:7  Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding. Continue Reading »

GET YOUR HOPES UP

Today I’d like to write about the subject of healing, after all, this is a healing ministry.  So many people are needing healing, and some have been waiting for years without receiving it. And a lot of the reason people fail to receive is because well-meaning folks tell them, “Well, you know it’s not always God’s will to heal, so don’t get your hopes up too high.”  Did you know that runs absolutely contrary to the written Word of God? PUT THE UNBELIEVERS OUT

There is an account in Mark chapter five about Jairus, who was a ruler in the Synagogue, whose daughter was at the point of death, and he asked Jesus to come heal her.  Now, the Jews were against what Jesus taught, so Jairus had to put his head on the chopping block to go to Jesus.  But Jairus was desperate, and many of you are desperate to receive healing.  But how desperate are you?  Enough to do what Jesus himself did? DIMMER SWITCH FAITH

Today I’d like to talk about faith, because without faith it is impossible to please God.  It is written in James 1:2-4,
Jas 1:2  My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;
Jas 1:3  Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.
Jas 1:4  But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
Now I know this is EXACTLY the opposite what we feel when we are in the middle of trials, but the Bible tells us that we are to have JOY in trials, because God uses them to strengthen us, not to destroy us.  Trials can make or break us, depending upon whose strength we are trying to get through them with.  Lean on the LORD, and you’ll do fine.  Try to make it on your own, and you may, or may not.  Personally, I don’t like those odds, so depending on the LORD’S strength is my only option. DO YOU BELIEVE GOD?

If you ask the average Joe on the street if they believe in God, most will say they do, but some don’t.  If you ask the ones who say they believe IN God if they BELIEVE God, most all of them will say they do.  BUT DO THEY REALLY?  How can you know?  You can start by asking them WHY?  A few will say, “God cannot lie”.  And that is a correct answer, but here’s the test:  when the going gets rough and the devil is causing them all kinds of trouble, what are they doing?
Psalm 23:4 says, Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Continue Reading »

WHY SO MANY DENOMINATIONS?

It troubles me that there is so much division in the body of Christ. In every town there are several churches, all preaching a different “Gospel”, with different doctrines, some do this, some do that, and none agree with the other to any great extent.  Somewhere along the line, the Gospel got hijacked, and the “Gospel” we are hearing today doesn’t line up with the Gospel the disciples heard from the Lord Jesus. WHEN WILL YESTERDAY HAPPEN?

While ministering to a lady about healing, the LORD asked me an interesting question that I’d like to pass along to you.  WHEN WILL YESTERDAY HAPPEN?  Well, that’s an easy one to answer: it already happened, it’s over and done, and it won’t be back. Then why do people still wait for yesterday to happen? Continue Reading »

FROM NOW TILL NEVER

Why do we pray?  What do we hope to accomplish by doing so?  Well, it would seem to me that we are trying to change a circumstance that we otherwise have no control over.  There are things we can do in the physical realm to change some circumstances, but there are others that are totally out of our control that only God can change, so we pray.  It may concern sickness or disease, or family troubles, or legal troubles, or finances; you name it, somebody is not happy about it and wants it changed. But wanting something to be different, and actually seeing it done is two different things, as we all know. Continue Reading »

WHAT IS YOUR EXCUSE?

In John chapter five we can read about a man who was an invalid for thirty eight years. Now thirty eight years is a very long time to be suffering.  Over the years I’ve met many people who have been suffering from various infirmities, and there is one thing common among them: they all want to be well.  Now there are some who hold to the belief that they are suffering because God has given them a thorn in the flesh like the Apostle Paul dealt with.  Some actually believe they are sick because it gives glory to God, yet it is those who are constantly running to the doctor trying to get will.  But it seems rather strange to me that if sickness gives glory to God, why did the Lord Jesus go about HEALING the sick?  That would be a good one to explore today.
