This is an unprecedented time in our history, where the pestilence called COVID-19 is spreading throughout the world, thanks to being released from a laboratory in China. Some have died from it, and the whole world seems to be in panic about it. Because of panic, stores have been emptied by people hoarding supplies, instead of just buying what they need. There are cities issuing orders not to travel, and to remain at home. And though the virus is bad, it nowhere approaches the level of infection and death of prior viruses that have gone around, and yet the panic is much worse this time. Why? Mostly because of people’s mouths.

Christ Jesus said in Matthew 12:34-37,
34 O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.
35 A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.
36 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.
37 For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.

The words we speak not only affect us, they affect others, too. If you were in a crowded theater and someone yelled FIRE, everyone would run for the exits, and being there are more people than doors, panic would soon set in. There would be pushing and shoving, and most likely some would be killed or injured trying to get out. There’s just something about a herd of panicking people, that they lose all civility and common sense. Once order is gone, it’s a free-for-all. And that’s exactly what we are seeing in the stores, people pushing and shoving and fighting over the last case of toilet paper. You’d think the world was ending. Well, that’s what the devil wants us to think, anyway.

There are so many talking fear right now, that nobody is listening to reason. And this is just the beginning of the “last days”. If there’s so many living in fear now, what’s it going to be like when the going gets REALLY tough? The Bible talks of wars and rumors of wars, pestilence, earthquakes in divers places, and we have ALWAYS had those things since the beginning of mankind since Adam and Eve ate of the forbidden fruit. Look at history, can you show me a time when there were no wars, no sickness anywhere, no earthquakes? No, you can’t.

Yes, there is a period of tribulation coming, the severity of which nobody has ever seen before. But before you panic and yell “THE SKY IS FALLING!!”, search the scriptures. There are prophecies that must first be fulfilled, and until then, there’s still time for those who are not saved to repent and turn to the LORD and be saved.

Running out and buying all the toilet paper is not going to save you. Having truckloads of food on hand is not going to save you. Yes, hard times may be coming upon the world soon, but nothing can save you but the blood of Jesus. And those who already know Christ Jesus as LORD and Savior are way ahead of the curve. We trust, we KNOW that no matter what happens in the world, we are safe with Him. And though our physical body may die, and it most likely will if we reach the natural end of our lifetime before His second coming, we’re SAFE!

I recently told one of my friends, I’m not getting my panties in a wad over this. First of all, I believe Psalm 91 with all my heart, and the proof of it working is that I’m still alive, through all the pestilences of past years. The confession of my heart and mouth is in alignment with God’s Word. And if I’m still alive when it gets REALLY bad? I’ll just keep trusting the blood of Jesus. I’ll still be here until GOD says it’s time for me to go. The devil has nothing to say about it whatsoever. The devil isn’t my Boss, Jesus is my Boss, so I’m not listening to the devil. I’m tuning him out, no matter how loud he yells doom and gloom and sickness and death and destruction. My delight is in the LORD. I’m under the blood, and I’m trusting the blood.

SHOULDN’T YOU?   If you don’t know Christ Jesus as your LORD and SAVIOR right now, there’s no better time than the present to get your sins and your life “UNDER THE BLOOD”.  I’d like to invite you to take serious assessment of your life right now.  Either you’re a “SAINT”, or you “AIN’T”.  The only difference is the “S”, which stands for “Salvation”.  When you’re under the blood, fear goes away, because as it says in 1 John 4:4, “Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world.”  That takes away ALL my fear.  Like I said, I’m trusting the Blood.  And you should, too!
