Have you ever noticed how people don’t want to accept responsibility for their actions?  They want to blame “someone else” for their decisions, so that “someone else” reaps the consequences.  And it’s nothing new.  As far as I can see, it’s been going on ever since the Garden of Eden, and we can pick it up in Genesis 3:1,

 1  Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?

 2  And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:

 3  But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.

 4  And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:

 5  For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.

 6  And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.

 7  And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.

 8  And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden.

 9  And the LORD God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou?

 10  And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself.

 11  And he said, Who told thee that thou wast naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat?

 12  And the man said, The woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat.

 13  And the LORD God said unto the woman, What is this that thou hast done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat.

 14  And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life:

 15  And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

 16  Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.

 17  And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;

 18  Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field;

 19  In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.

So that’s where the blame game started on this earth.  God gave Adam and Eve dominion over the world with only ONE exception, they were forbidden to eat of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil.  Well, don’t you know it, like a little disobedient kid that you tell to stay out of the cookie jar, as soon as you turn your head, they’re in the cookie jar.  And then they’ll lie and deny it, just like Satan.

Satan (the serpent) lied and convinced Eve that the forbidden fruit would not only make her wise, and that they would NOT surely die, as God had told them, so she took of it and ate it, and gave to Adam, and he also ate.  So when Adam and Eve hid from God because they realized they were naked, God asked if they had eaten of the forbidden tree.  So here starts the blame game.  Adam said to God, The woman that YOU gave to be with me, she gave to me and I did eat.  Then God asked Eve, What is this that you have done, and she said, The SERPENT beguiled me, and I did eat.  And the LORD turned to the serpent, and of course he didn’t have a leg to stand on, and said to him, Because YOU have done this, you are cursed above all cattle and every beast of the field.  And then the LORD turned to Adam and said, Because YOU listened to your WIFE and have eaten of that which I commanded you not to…….

And because of these acts of disobedience by the SERPENT, and EVE, and ADAM, we have this mess on earth today.  So who gets the blame?

Jesus, who created us all, got the penalty for ALL sin put squarely on Him by His Father, and Jesus ended up paying with His own blood for OUR disobedience. You see, sin didn’t originate on earth.  It originated in heaven when Satan rebelled against God, and sought to kick God off the Throne and take over heaven.  Lucifer (Satan) and his angels fought against the angels of God, and was cast out of heaven to the earth.  And we’ve suffered for it ever since.  Had Lucifer never rebelled, life would still be heaven on earth like God set it up for Adam and Eve in the beginning of their lives.  There would be no sickness, no death, no sorrow, and no pain.  But Lucifer DID rebel, and even though he is and was the father of rebellion and sin,  Jesus paid the price.  Ah, but someday Lucifer will pay for his actions, and it will be forever and ever, ages without end in the Lake of Fire.

But as for YOU?  Jesus paid the price for your sins in full, and He will apply His blood to your sins and forgive them if you will ask Him, and repent of your sins and stop doing them.  The blame has been placed where it belongs, and that’s on Satan.  But Satan didn’t love you enough to pay for his sins and yours.  Satan only loves himself.  So like I said, Jesus ended up paying the price for YOUR redemption and salvation.  Why?  Because He loves you and wants you to have everlasting life without the punishment of sin hanging over your head.

JESUS PAID THE PRICE, ALL TO HIM WE OWE.  SIN HAD LEFT A CRIMSON STAIN, HE WASHED IT WHITE AS SNOW!

The blame for your sins is no longer on you, it’s on Jesus.  Step up and receive your salvation RIGHT NOW.  If you end up lost, you can’t blame someone else, it’s YOUR decision if you reject the only sacrifice made for your salvation.  Don’t put it off, you have no guarantee of another heartbeat.  Do it now.  And live forever with Jesus!
