When asking the LORD today what I’m to write about, immediately the Holy Spirit told me Mark 9:38.  So while studying in that passage it became abundantly clear the LORD wants unity in His Body, and of course we know we just aren’t there yet, are we?  Let’s look at Jesus said:
Mar 9:35  And he sat down, and called the twelve, and saith unto them, If any man desire to be first, the same shall be last of all, and servant of all.
Mar 9:36  And he took a child, and set him in the midst of them: and when he had taken him in his arms, he said unto them,
Mar 9:37  Whosoever shall receive one of such children in my name, receiveth me: and whosoever shall receive me, receiveth not me, but him that sent me.
Mar 9:38  And John answered him, saying, Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name, and he followeth not us: and we forbad him, because he followeth not us.
Mar 9:39  But Jesus said, Forbid him not: for there is no man which shall do a miracle in my name, that can lightly speak evil of me.
Mar 9:40  For he that is not against us is on our part.
Mar 9:41  For whosoever shall give you a cup of water to drink in my name, because ye belong to Christ, verily I say unto you, he shall not lose his reward.
Mar 9:42  And whosoever shall offend one of these little ones that believe in me, it is better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were cast into the sea.
    I’d like to draw your attention to verse 38. The disciples saw someone casting out devils in Jesus’ name, but that person wasn’t among the twelve disciples, so the disciples forbad him from doing so.  In other words, you don’t belong to OUR church, so you couldn’t possibly be doing God’s work.  Sound familiar?  C’mon now, be honest.  Now, what did the Lord Jesus have to say about it?  You need not look any farther than verses 39 and 40 to find that Jesus sees right through all that religious trash.  Yet, if the Lord Jesus brought someone from a different denomination than your church to visit your church, would they both be welcome?
    Let me go a step further; would the Lord Jesus himself recognize your church as part of His Body, with Him being the head?  Sad to say, I’ve visited many a church, and heard members say they believed they were the only church with God’s truth, and all others were in error.  Now, if for EXAMPLE , you go to a Baptist church and they think everyone else is wrong, and you go to a Pentecostal church and they think everyone else is wrong, and you go to an Episcopalian church and they think everyone else is wrong, then WHO IS RIGHT?  I can tell you:  only what the Lord Jesus taught is right, so we’re ALL wrong, or at least the fruit of our labors show we must be, because we’re not all teaching the same thing.  There is only ONE God, ONE Holy Spirit, ONE Gospel of Jesus Christ, and there is only ONE door to salvation, and it is Christ Jesus.  He is the Head of the Body, and Christ has only ONE body, and it’s supposed to be the members of His Church.  He doesn’t have many bodies.  Have you ever seen a head attached to many bodies?  No, because God didn’t create us that way.  Sorry Friends, each body only gets one head, and each head only gets one body. 
   So, if His Body is not One, then it’s laying around useless and in pieces.  You can get all religious on me if you want, but it’s the truth, and truth is the only thing God is interested in.  All the time we hear how different denominations can’t come together.  Have you considered what the meaning is of “denominations”?  It means “divisions of”.  Now, is Christ Jesus divided?  NO!!  That means if you’re causing division, you aren’t in HIM.  And if you aren’t in HIM, then you aren’t in the Kingdom of God.  And if you aren’t in the Kingdom of God, you’re outside His Kingdom, and no matter what your religion has been teaching you, that’s not where you want to be.
    Do you know why the world is in such a mess?  So called “Christians” are teaching so many different “Gospels” that people out there just don’t know what to believe in.  So they just leave it alone, and I don’t blame them one bit.  If I was running things, and I’m not, I’d take down every church sign in the world and change them to say “Church of Jesus Christ”.  No 31 flavors, no “denominations”, no “seeker-friendly” churches where you get God “your way”, sorry.  It’s either HIS Church, or it’s not.  Until the Body of Christ comes into unity with the Head, the church as a whole will be nothing more than quadriplegic at best.  Oh, the Head is talking to the Body, alright, but the Body isn’t getting any input.  Nor is any signal (worship), or any real movement of the Body getting back through to the Head.  The body is just out there flopping around like a chicken with its head cut off, and it’s totally unaware what the Head is telling it to do, yet thinking it’s doing God some great service.  Now, you may think that’s funny, but it isn’t.
   The Head (Christ Jesus) appointed the Body to be doing the work of winning the world to Him by the preaching of THE Gospel, but the Body is too busy doing its OWN thing, building its own “what about ME?” kingdoms, and big buildings which are merely monuments to men (Look what WE built!!).  One part is teaches Prophecy, one teaches Healing, one teaches Salvation, another teaches Holiness, while another focuses on Prosperity, and none have come together as one, ever since the original Disciples died out.  Each believer should have the WHOLE Gospel working in his or her life, not just a “denomination” of it.  Meanwhile, the devil just stands back and laughs at us, for we’re no real threat to him OR the kingdom of darkness.  Oh, we may strut around doing our little victory dances and yelling at him, but we all know there isn’t any real display of the power of God in most churches today.  The sick come sick, and they leave sick.  Demon-oppressed people come in oppressed and leave the same way.   Devils aren’t afraid to walk into churches today because they know nobody will cast them out, and what’s even worse, they CAN’T cast devils out because they have no power to do so because the so-called Body of Christ isn’t walking in love or in unity with each other.  Remember, it is written in Galatians 5:6; For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.  What does that mean?  No love, no faith.  No love, no unity or power.  No power?  That isn’t Christ Jesus!  It’s just empty words and racket, all tailored to feed your ego and keep you entertained so you’ll be coming back.  Does that mean nobody is walking with Christ Jesus as they should be?  No, but we should ALL be in one accord, believing the same things, and being in absolute unity.  And there’s no excuse for not doing so.

Do you want to see a REAL move of God?  Gather people of every Christian denomination under one roof, and get them to repent of their prideful ways and come together in love, unity, and for the purpose of glorifying God, and THEN the Holy Spirit will come and reconnect that severed Body to the Head.  Then you’ll see salvation and healing and hearts will be knitted together in one accord.  Then, and only then, will we be a credible threat to the kingdom of darkness.
