For what purpose was Jesus born, have you given much thought to that?  It was so the love of the heavenly Father might be made clearly evident unto mankind, to re-establish the fellowship that Adam and Eve had with Him before sin came into the world.  We can only imagine what life was like for them before the devil talked them into disobeying God. But we do know that God wants that wonderful life restored to man.  Total restoration, total healing; spirit, soul and body. Jesus is the cure for sin and everything it brought.
It is written in Luke 4:18-19; The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, To preach the acceptable year of the Lord. While things were done God’s way, there was NO lack of any good thing or poverty on the earth.
Genesis 2:7-12 says this:
Gen 2:7  And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
Gen 2:8  And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed.
Gen 2:9  And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.
Gen 2:10  And a river went out of Eden to water the garden; and from thence it was parted, and became into four heads.
Gen 2:11  The name of the first is Pison: that is it which compasseth the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold;
Gen 2:12  And the gold of that land is good: there is bdellium and the onyx stone.
Here we see the Garden was full of GOOD things, no briars, thistles, ticks, chiggers, mosquitos, or any other annoying thing.  And God provided gold for them, even before there was a Walmart for Eve to spend it at. Imagine your life with no lack; that was the life Adam and Eve had in the Garden of Eden, all the while having fellowship daily with the very God of all creation. Abundance and no lack.  That’s part of what Jesus came to restore, for He said, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor. He explained to the poor how they could come out of poverty. He hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, so how about it, are YOU brokenhearted?  Has someone built your expectations, only to break your heart?  Jesus came to HEAL that. Here’s another: to preach deliverance to the captives.  That can mean a lot of things, you could be addicted to drugs or alcohol or pornography, or any number of perverted behaviors, and though you know you NEED to stop, and you WANT to stop, you just can’t. You could be held captive to fear or depression or continually oppressed by an unclean spirit. Again, Jesus is the CURE and He will set you FREE.  How?  It is written in John 8:34-36;
Joh 8:34  Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.
Joh 8:35 And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever.
Joh 8:36  If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.
Here’s another thing the Lord Jesus came to fix; and recovering of sight to the blind, and that’s not just physical blindness of defective eyes; it’s also opening the eyes of our understanding, so we clearly see what the will of God for us truly is.
Here’s something that shows the compassion of God, to set at liberty them that are bruised. You’re beat up enough already, and Jesus came to set you free from that as well.  Getting bruised is pretty painful, goes pretty deep, and often leaves a tender spot for a long time.  Have you ever been hurt, only to hurt all over again every time you are around a certain person? Jesus came to set you free, will you let Him? Jesus came To preach the acceptable year of the Lord. When IS that?  Now.  RIGHT NOW.  How about it?  Are you ready to let Jesus cure you?  After all, that’s why He came.  Yes, that’s right, He came for YOU, so that YOU can be set free from everything that separates you from perfect fellowship with your heavenly Father.
One of the most important things Jesus came to do is to help you recognize the truth.  He will give you His Holy Spirit so you can know the truth. The world is full of lies, we all know that.  Lies are what got us all in trouble in the first place, from Eve in the Garden of Eden, until now.  Think about it, Satan has been around for God only knows how long, and he’s the father of lies.  He’s had a long time to perfect his lies and make them very convincing to us; in fact, he already had his technique down with Eve.  How much more so now?  Those lies convince us we must remain sick, poor, depressed and worried, and there’s no way out. Well, I beg to differ, for JESUS came to earth and got the job DONE!  And now the cure is for “whosoever will”.  Are YOU a “whosover”?  Sure you are!  That means Jesus came to set YOU free.  Jesus has the cure for whatever ails you, and His cure never fails when taken as directed (by the Bible).
Now there are people who put what I call “hoops to jump through” before those who are seeking their healing, but I’m not one of them.  Jesus came to make it simple to be set free.  It’s RELIGIOUS PEOPLE who block the way to freedom, for they are not free themselves.  My job is to point you to Jesus, for HE is the cure, and He never refuses anyone, anywhere, anytime.   There is nobody so bad that Jesus does not love them, and if they will repent, He will forgive their sins.  Nor is there a pit so deep that His arm is too short to pull them out.  I don’t point people to me, for I am not the cure, but JESUS is.  He is the one who cured me when I was dying of cancer and deep in sin, so I know He truly IS the cure.
It is my fervent desire that all come to know Jesus as Lord and Savior.  Once that happens, lives are changed forever.  When you drop all your prior religious beliefs and study the Bible with an open mind and let the Holy Spirit show you who He really is, you will find He is not a harsh, hard God at all.  In fact, you will find Him so very merciful and gracious, you will kick yourself for having delayed your coming to Him.  I did. Now, you couldn’t run me off from Him, for I’m living in His covenant and daily enjoying His fellowship and grace. And healing is just a small part of it.  I got mine, and yours is waiting for you
Come now, Jesus is waiting with your cure. Be not afraid, only believe.
