Everywhere I go, there are people who don’t believe it is always God’s will to heal, and they believe that way because so many are prayed for to receive their healing, yet they aren’t.  And I would admit that is pretty compelling evidence for the naysayers, except I have read the Bible cover to cover several times and find that what God wills, and what people believe are usually two different things.

Take the Ten Commandments, for example.  The first and second Commandments are:
Exo 20:3  Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
Exo 20:4  Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:
Exo 20:5  Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;
Exo 20:6  And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.

OK, these two are without doubt GOD’S WILL.  How long did it take for the people to substitute their will for God’s will?  Not very long. Moses went back up on the mountain to commune with God, and he was gone forty days and forty nights.  Have a look:

Exo 32:1  And when the people saw that Moses delayed to come down out of the mount, the people gathered themselves together unto Aaron, and said unto him, Up, make us gods, which shall go before us; for as for this Moses, the man that brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we wot not what is become of him.
Exo 32:2  And Aaron said unto them, Break off the golden earrings, which are in the ears of your wives, of your sons, and of your daughters, and bring them unto me.
Exo 32:3  And all the people brake off the golden earrings which were in their ears, and brought them unto Aaron.
Exo 32:4  And he received them at their hand, and fashioned it with a graving tool, after he had made it a molten calf: and they said, These be thy gods, O Israel, which brought thee up out of the land of Egypt.
Exo 32:5  And when Aaron saw it, he built an altar before it; and Aaron made proclamation, and said, To morrow is a feast to the LORD.
Exo 32:6  And they rose up early on the morrow, and offered burnt offerings, and brought peace offerings; and the people sat down to eat and to drink, and rose up to play.
Exo 32:7  And the LORD said unto Moses, Go, get thee down; for thy people, which thou broughtest out of the land of Egypt, have corrupted themselves:
Exo 32:8  They have turned aside quickly out of the way which I commanded them: they have made them a molten calf, and have worshipped it, and have sacrificed thereunto, and said, These be thy gods, O Israel, which have brought thee up out of the land of Egypt.
Exo 32:9  And the LORD said unto Moses, I have seen this people, and, behold, it is a stiffnecked people:

I could have used the example of how Adam and Eve broke the ONLY commandment God gave them, but I didn’t, because I wanted to use a later example. CLEARLY, mankind has exercised THEIR will over GOD’S will from the very beginning.  Now, let me apply this to healing.  Christ Jesus came to earth and healed all who came to Him of every sickness, every disease, cast out the devils in them, and did it all freely without them giving any kind of offering whatsoever.  Jesus said He did nothing without His Father.  And He said, I and My Father are One. So, that undisputedly sets the precedence for God’s will concerning healing.  Regardless of what ANYONE tells you to the contrary, the Bible AND the words and actions of Christ Jesus tell us healing is always God’s will, period.

So, why isn’t everyone healed?  Well, let me give you another example of God’s will, it is written in 2Pe 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. There you have it, God’s will is that ALL repent and be saved.  That’s GOD’S will.  But do all repent and become saved?  NO!  Why not?  Because it is not THEIR will to do so.  You see, God gives us free will, and He abides by our free will.  If God violated our free will after He gave us free will, He would be violating His own Word, and He will not do that, EVER!
People have been so brainwashed by church traditions and false teachings, religion, TV ads telling people to turn to doctors and medicines, that it’s a miracle indeed that ANYONE these days can be healed by God’s Word.  But that isn’t GOD’S WILL, it’s OUR WILL.

There was a time during Jesus’ ministry that a Syrophenician woman asked Him to heal her daughter. Let’s read about it here in both Matthew’s and Mark’s account:
Mar 7:25  For a certain woman, whose young daughter had an unclean spirit, heard of him, and came and fell at his feet:
Mar 7:26  The woman was a Greek, a Syrophenician by nation; and she besought him that he would cast forth the devil out of her daughter.
Mar 7:27  But Jesus said unto her, Let the children first be filled: for it is not meet to take the children’s bread, and to cast it unto the dogs.
Mar 7:28  And she answered and said unto him, Yes, Lord: yet the dogs under the table eat of the children’s crumbs.
Mar 7:29  And he said unto her, For this saying go thy way; the devil is gone out of thy daughter.
Mar 7:30  And when she was come to her house, she found the devil gone out, and her daughter laid upon the bed.

Mat 15:22  And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou Son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil.
Mat 15:23  But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away; for she crieth after us.
Mat 15:24  But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
Mat 15:25  Then came she and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me.
Mat 15:26  But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children’s bread, and to cast it to dogs.
Mat 15:27  And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters’ table.
Mat 15:28  Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour.

Jesus told her that healing is the CHILDREN’S BREAD, so who are the “children”?  those who believe upon Him; the Jew first, THEN the Gentile.  That’s why He said , Let the children first be filled. This was an example of a Gentile receiving the “children’s bread”.  That example is the closest that Jesus ever came to refusing to heal anyone, ever.  But she worshipped Him and called Him LORD, and when that happened, He considered her one of God’s “children”, and so granted her request.  So we have clear precedence, again, that it is God’s will to heal both Jew and Gentile, a Gentile being anyone who is not a Jew, in case you didn’t know that.

If you will forget everything you “thought” you knew about healing, and let God show you HIS will concerning healing, you will not fail to receive healing for any affliction you may have.  Forget what Grandma believes, or what the doctor believes, or what your family or friends believe.  If it is YOU that need healing, the only way you’re going to get it is to believe what God says about it and act accordingly.  God is not interested in what your opinion is, nor what the world thinks, He only does according to HIS will, and if you want God’s blessings, then you’re going to have to get in line with HIS will, not YOURS.  God is really easy to receive from, and He won’t make you “jump through hoops” like your religious friends will try to get you to do.

At the expense of repeating myself from my prior articles, let me share about Blind Bartimaeus, this comes from Mark 10:46-52:
Mar 10:46  And they came to Jericho: and as he went out of Jericho with his disciples and a great number of people, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the highway side begging.
Mar 10:47  And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, and say, Jesus, thou Son of David, have mercy on me.
Mar 10:48  And many charged him that he should hold his peace: but he cried the more a great deal, Thou Son of David, have mercy on me.
Mar 10:49  And Jesus stood still, and commanded him to be called. And they call the blind man, saying unto him, Be of good comfort, rise; he calleth thee.
Mar 10:50  And he, casting away his garment, rose, and came to Jesus.
Mar 10:51  And Jesus answered and said unto him, What wilt thou that I should do unto thee? The blind man said unto him, Lord, that I might receive my sight.
Mar 10:52  And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole. And immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way.

After reading that passage, the LORD asked me, What did I NOT say to Bartimaeus? I responded, LORD, I wasn’t there, I have no clue what You did not say to him.  He said,  Did I ask Bartimaeus if he had repented of his sins? No LORD, I can’t see that you did. He said, Did I ask him if he had paid his tithes? No, LORD, You didn’t.  He said, Did I ask him if he had forgiven everyone who had sinned against him? No, LORD, You just healed him.  He said, DON’T MAKE PEOPLE JUMP THROUGH HOOPS TO RECEIVE THEIR HEALING!

You see, there’s always some well-meaning “believer” who after praying for the sick, and not seeing anything happen, will say, “Well, he (or she) must have hidden sin, or they must have unforgiveness against someone.” Tell me, did Jesus heal any sinners?  Sure He did, but He didn’t let their sins stand in the way.  He heals FIRST, then deals with sin later.  Don’t you think it’s about time to let God start doing things HIS WAY, instead of insisting He work according to OUR will, or OUR religion, or OUR traditions?   Healing IS God’s will, and when you forsake YOUR will and let God have HIS will, you will receive your healing, and not a moment before.  God is gracious, as the Lord Jesus clearly demonstrated.  You do not have to twist God’s arm to get something from Him, nor can you tell God to move the windows of heaven over to where YOU are ready to receive from Him.  God moves according to His Word, and if His Words are coming from your heart and lips, you will see signs, wonders, and miracles in your life as an everyday thing, and not the exception.  Indeed, healing is the children’s bread.  Are YOU one of His children?
