Today I’d like to talk about healing. Why? Because a lot of people need it, and jump through all kinds of hoops trying to be well. They spend vast fortunes on doctors and medicines, and success is measured by the amount spent, if at all. Sometimes I wonder why people stumble at healing so badly, when God made it so simple and easy.

The medical field is the only one I know of where you get paid whether you do the job or not. If I take my car to the garage, I’m not going to pay the mechanic until and unless my car is fixed. If I hire a carpenter, he won’t be paid unless he gets the job done. Now, if I go to the store, will I pay them and leave without the merchandise? No. If I hire someone to mow my yard, do they get paid for answering the phone and saying they will come? No, they get paid when the job is done. It’s like that in every trade except medicine. You pay whether you get well or not. Somehow, I don’t like that system, it just goes against nature.

And being sick goes against nature as well. You see, God created mankind to be healthy, and I’ve said this so many times before. Perfect health is the “default” condition man was created to live in. You didn’t have to pay for it or work for it, it just “was”.

The Lord Jesus described himself as “I AM”. He didn’t say He was, or is, or will be at some point in the future, but I AM. In other words, He exists eternally, with no beginning and no ending. And that was God’s original plan for mankind, to live forever in the perfect, healthy state he was created in. But when sin came into the world, death came with it, and that was God’s mercy, believe it or not, for otherwise, mankind would live forever, ages without end, in a body that was sick and suffering. I don’t know about you, but I wouldn’t want to spend forever sick.

Well, if you asked Jesus if He was well, He would have said, “I AM”, meaning, that was the state He existed in eternally. Jesus didn’t call in sick, and He never experienced a sick day forever, that is, until He bore YOUR SICKNESS AND MINE in His own body, to pay for YOUR sin debt, so you could exist free from sickness and disease.

Some people believe that Jesus took our sickness and diseases only in the spirit realm. But if that were true, He wouldn’t have healed people’s fleshly sicknesses and disease. He wouldn’t have made the blind to see or the lame to walk. And He certainly wouldn’t have raised the dead, just to go back to being sick and suffering. But rather, He healed all who came to Him, regardless of how long they had been suffering, or what they were suffering from. He made it easy: if you’re suffering, come to Me and I’ll heal you. Simple, huh? So they came, and He healed them. Easy then, easy now. So what seems to be the problem? The problem is US, and our stinking religious ideas. That didn’t come from God. It came from our own choices.

When counseling people about healing, there is one thing I notice time after time; religious people have a real hard time receiving healing. It’s like they almost want to stay sick to prove to you that God doesn’t heal today. And some people actually wear sickness as a badge of pride saying, “Look at me, God gave me this sickness to keep me humble.” I remember years ago a lady in a wheelchair in California told me that, and I asked her if she was so holy that God had to give her a thorn in the flesh to keep her humble? I told her God would heal her right there and then, but she didn’t want to be healed. She wanted people to feel sorry for her. Where does that come from? Pride. And pride STINKS. Excuse me: “STINKETH”.

Another man in Texas was quadriplegic and he WANTED to be healed, so I sat down with him and read him every healing miracle Jesus did in Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. It took about 45 minutes, then I told him I would take his hand and pull him up, and we would walk around the convention center and would be healed. And he was, right there and then. So easy! His only problem was that he knew Jesus COULD, but not that Jesus WOULD. The LORD referred me to Mark 1:40-42 which said,
40 And there came a leper to him, beseeching him, and kneeling down to him, and saying unto him, If thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.
41 And Jesus, moved with compassion, put forth his hand, and touched him, and saith unto him, I will; be thou clean.
42 And as soon as he had spoken, immediately the leprosy departed from him, and he was cleansed.

You see, as soon as his “IF” was settled, he easily received his healing, right on the spot. Many people suffer from the “IF” question, and Jesus settled that question over 2000 years ago. Maybe YOU have been suffering for a long time because you haven’t settled your “IF”. Let me help you here: Hebrews 13:8 says, “Jesus Christ the same; yesterday, today, and for ever.” He healed all who came then, and He does the very same today, and He will never change His mind.

Jesus made healing so easy, that you can receive it by just saying, LORD, I believe.  I receive, thank You.

How can it be that easy? If it were that easy, EVERYONE would be healed. Well, friend, it IS that easy, and everyone CAN be healed. That is, if they choose to be. Not everyone chooses to, and God can’t change that, because you see, He gave all of us “free will”. So some will, and some won’t. But that isn’t God’s choice, it’s OURS. So the next time someone tells you it isn’t God’s will to heal everyone, tell them, SHOW ME THAT IN THE BIBLE! Give me chapter and verse! You’ll upset a lot of religious people, but at the same time, you will help them get an education. Let me save you some searching: it isn’t there. I know, I searched it out years ago. And that’s why I’m still healed, and it’s been over 25 years and counting, because Jesus hasn’t changed.

Now if YOU’RE willing to let a little two letter word “IF” keep you from being healed, that’s fully your choice, not God’s. Jesus clearly demonstrated His Father’s will concerning healing, so you can’t blame God if you’re not healed. You can only blame yourself. So if you’re sick and tired of being sick and tired, the Lord Jesus has your cure waiting for you. Go ahead, make His day by believing Him.

Remember this important thing, Christ Jesus bore your sins and your sicknesses and died in your place. Nobody else can lay claim to that, so therefore, nobody else is qualified to say whether it’s God will for you to be healed or not. Only Jesus. And He said, YES! Healing is EASY!
