ISN’T IT SCARY?
The Lord awoke me this morning with a startling question. Now, when the Lord asks you a question, could it be He already knows the answer, and you don’t? How would YOU like to be woke up with the question, ISN’T IT SCARY? Well, like anyone else would respond, I said out loud, Isn’t WHAT scary? Lord, You aren’t afraid of anything and You tell Your children not to fear. He proceeded to share this with me:

The book of First, Second, and Third John was not written to the world of unbelievers, but to the CHURCH!  1 John 1:8-9 says, If we say we have  no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Many use this part of the prayer to lead people to salvation, but it was written to those who have already received Christ Jesus. Continue Reading »

I left  home on a ministry trip August 28th and didn’t return home until Sept 25th. During that time I’ve been in Pennsylvania, Maryland, South Carolina and Florida.  Due to the number of prayer requests I wasn’t able to keep caught up on a daily basis answering emails, although I did pray for each prayer request. I’m back home and working on my mail.  It’s always my desire to write back or call back  on every prayer request, and of course I have to prioritize, as some are life or death situations, while some just want “blessings”.  They are all important and I answer each in their order.  Thanks to those who supported my work while I was out there on the road. We need your prayers and support more than ever, as there are a lot of hurting people “out there” who need our individual time to help them get from where they are to where they need to be.  I also need your prayers that I’ll be able to get our ministry’s motor home back on the road soon, as I’ve finally located most all of the parts I need to rebuild the engine, but now comes the “fun” part of actually doing all the mechanical work, plus whatever may be necessary to revive the rest of the motor home out of a year of non-use, back to its busy life on the road.  All that mechanical work means time away from actually doing the work of the ministry.  Help would be nice….Sometimes I feel like a one-armed wallpaper hanger, if you know what I mean.

Some have commented that I don’t usually put my travel and teaching schedule on the website.  That’s because most of our trips are “go right now” and then the LORD usually sends us somewhere else from there, as He did on this trip.  If you want us to come to you or your church or conference, let me know.  I’ll pray and ask God what He wants me to do.  I’m His “Minute Man” if you will…He says GO and I’m on the road literally in minutes.  My bags are always packed and I’m ready to go anywhere, anytime on very short notice.  Who knows? maybe my next trip might be to minister to YOU.

Some of you have commented or called that I no longer send out personal emails each week to each of our contact list.  Well, that’s due to “spamming rules” that don’t let me send out several thousand emails at a time anymore, and that’s why we’re using MailChimp now. People must now subscribe to receive my weekly letter.  But I still respond to every email and every phone call, and I enjoy hearing from you, so WRITE TO ME!  I’ll write back, or I’ll call you if you’re in the USA.

Our motor home is still down for repair, as it has been for the past ten months, so that has limited my travels. I now have MOST of the parts I need to rebuild the engine, but I’m still waiting for the machine shop to prepare the engine block so I can assemble the engine. Engine parts have proven nearly impossible to find, and I’ve searched world-wide for them, thus the delay.   I’m looking forward to getting it back on the road, but I can’t truly say I’m looking forward to all the hours of work still ahead of me to get it done.  Thanks to those who have given toward this project. They are FEW but God will bless them.   Let me put it this way; if I had fifty cents for every hour I’ve spent working on this motor home over the last fifteen years, I would have enough to buy a brand new motor home with a warranty.  As always, I’m working for free in order to serve you.  Actually, we need a motor home that I don’t have to work on, because every hour I’m swinging wrenches is an hour I’m not ministering to those who need us. Several have called and asked why I stopped sending out my Friday emails after all these years.  Well, it’s because of all the spam rules that apply to those who are mailing out thousands of emails per week.  But I’m still responding to those who write or call just like always.  In fact, the time I’m saving now by posting my weekly newsletter directly on our website instead of sending out individual emails with a link to the website  is helping me get caught up on my prayer request responses for the first time in many years.  By freeing up those approximately 10 hours each Friday, it’s having  beneficial effect on my whole week.  Now I’m often able to respond to you within the very hour you post a prayer request.  That’s progress!  And that is important.  This change is good although it’s taking me a bit of getting used to doing things differently after all these years.  July will be my 20th anniversary in ministry, my how time flies!!

My phone is almost always on, but of course I can’t answer if I’m in a service.  I only return calls from the US, so if you’re contacting me from overseas, instant message or email works best,  and you’ll get a quick response from me.  If you need a private response, that’s no problem, I’m not here for just “everyone else”, I’m here for YOU individually.

I’m taking this opportunity to tell you, we really need our ministry’s motor home up and running again so I can be back out on the road where I belong, preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ, encouraging, teaching, and helping the sick receive their healing.  I’ve searched far and wide for a new or rebuilt engine. We need an 1984-86 BMW 524TD turbodiesel engine.  If you happen to know where there is a good one, please let me know.  Otherwise, we need another motor home. Ours has 179,000 miles on it, and it has served the Kingdom of God well through the 15 years we’ve had it, although with many breakdowns along the way.  I’m telling you this so you are aware of the ministry’s needs in order for us to be able to serve you better.  Many have prophesied through the years that God is going to give our ministry a new motor home, paid for, and we are looking forward in faith to that event.  We covet your prayers concerning this need.  We love you exceedingly and really appreciate those who have chosen to help this ministry with prayers and financial support.  God bless!  And keep watching the website!

Hopefully you are used to looking on our site every Friday for our latest post.  As of last week, I will not be mailing out individual emails by the thousands to those on our mailing list, as the rules for email are getting more stringent by the day.  By using Mail Chimp and doing the newsletter as a blog, it eliminates spam, keeps our mailing list current and hopefully will help more people to receive it.  If I make additional posts during the week, you will get them.   I hope you will pass the word onto your friends, who can come to our site and opt in to receive the newsletters.  Take time to look around on our site, I have written HUNDREDS of articles that are sure to help you.  Your comments are invited.
