WHEN SICKNESS COMES CALLING

It is written in James 4:7, Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Nowhere in that verse does it say that God will run the devil off for you, that is YOUR job. As we submit unto God, we are given the authority to stand against the attacks of satan, but it is up to US to do the resisting, not Him. But most people only use the Holy Spirit for a backup, you know, after you’ve followed your feelings, and your decision crashed and burned, that kind of backup. We could sure save ourselves a whole lot of grief if we went first to the Holy Spirit.

PAY ME NOW OR PAY ME LATER

There’s an old saying, “pay me now or pay me later” that I see applies to many people today. Of course, when it comes to money, most would rather pay later than sooner, so they can hold onto their money a bit longer. That mentality also moves over into serving God.
