SPEAK CAREFULLY

It is written in Isaiah 55:11, “So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.” I’m often asked, “OK then, when someone prays or speaks the promises of God, and they don’t see it happen, what’s with that?”  So that’s our subject today. THIS DO IN REMEMBRANCE OF ME

Last night after sunset a group of us observed Passover and ate a Passover meal and later took communion. We do this to remind ourselves of our covenant with God. Some say, “I’m not going back under the law, I’m under grace.” Well, I’m under grace, too, but I find it helpful to remind myself why I’m under grace, and for what.

THE WAY IS NARROW

So many people believe when they die they will go to heaven, that Jesus just threw open the gates to heaven and everyone, everywhere will be invited in. Sadly, the Bible doesn’t bear that out. In fact, Jesus said FEW would be saved. Now if the stakes are THAT high, then it would seem to me that we should be spending our time fervently seeking God. Well, the stakes indeed ARE that high, are YOU willing to pay the price of being His disciple?

WHERE IS YOUR FAITH?

Without a doubt, all of us face trials at one time or another, and it makes no difference if you are a Christian or not. The devil is an “equal opportunity destroyer” who would just as soon destroy you as much as me, it makes him no difference. But it DOES make a difference to him when he runs into someone who has faith and isn’t afraid to use it.
