OUT WITH THE OLD

How many times have you said, “I’m tired of the way things are going, I wish things were better”?  Well, before you can embark on a NEW journey, you must stop the one you’re on.  But as creatures of habit, we are hardwired to resist change.  But we must all realize, change for the sake of change CAN be foolish and dangerous. For example, if you tell your kids to only play on the sidewalk, and you wake up one day and decide you want to change things, and tell your kids to play in the freeway, well, you can see that kind of change is setting you up for disaster.  So we must consider if “change” is going to be for the greater good or not. IT’S ALL ABOUT CHOICES

Wouldn’t life be much simpler if we weren’t faced with so many choices each day?  It is amazing how even the simplest decisions can alter the course of our lives.  We can choose to go to work in the morning, or we can choose to stay home and watch TV.  Looking ahead of that decision we can see the results: if you don’t go to work, you won’t keep your job, you will lose your income and become homeless eventually.  Or you can choose to pursue this career or that career with life altering results.  Decisions, decisions, what to do? THE CROSS IS THE KEY

We have heard countless sermons about the cross of Jesus.  I had a dream years ago of a vision of the cross, but it also looked like a key, and I realized the LORD was showing me something very encouraging.  And He brought it back to my attention today. I’m going to make one to wear around my neck. The cross is the KEY to your freedom.  Freedom from WHAT?  The cross is what got Jesus to the place where He purchased your freedom from sin and disease and all the devil’s junk. Continue Reading »
