THE WORD OF THE LORD

Last week I was warning people about saying “The LORD said….”, and justly so, for there are many false prophets out there proclaiming stuff the LORD never told them to say.  But today I’m telling you something the LORD definitely DID say.  And though many tell me that doesn’t apply to us today, let me ask you something: What part of “for ever” does not apply to us “for ever”?  In this particular instance, I’m talking about God’s Holy Days.  Many would see this as “I’m not going back under the law, as we are in the age of grace”.  But if your very favorite person whom you’ve always wanted to meet, say a famous movie star, said, “On these days, I will meet with those who really love me.”, wouldn’t you make every effort to meet with them?  Wouldn’t you take time out of your schedule to be with them?  Well, I guess it depends on how important to you it is, right? HEARING AND LISTENING

If there is anything I’ve learned in all my life, it is that hearing and listening are not the same.  Many people say, “The LORD said….”, and yet the LORD DIDN’T say that to them.  How can I so brazenly say that?  Simple; what they said the LORD said, didn’t line up with His written word.  God never violates His Word, for any reason, for anyone.  So when I hear someone say the LORD said it, I get busy with my Bible and find out if He did or not. ALWAYS RIGHT

Here’s a question for you today:  Have you ever been around someone who is always right?  What do you think of them?  Be honest now, and examine your heart. Maybe you’re ok with it, maybe you’re a bit resentful, maybe you’re a LOT resentful.  Think about it for a moment. Continue Reading »

CLOSER THAN YOU THINK

Every day that passes brings us closer to the day of the return of Christ Jesus.  It’s safe to say we’re closer today than we were yesterday.  The Bible says in Matthew 24:36-42,
32  Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:
33  So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.
34  Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.
35  Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
36  But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.
37  But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
38  For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,
39  And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
40  Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
41  Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
42  Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. Continue Reading »

BECOME WISE

Ever since man was created, God has been making His wisdom available to them.  In the Garden of Eden, God gave Adam dominion over all the earth, with only ONE “Thou shalt not”, concerning the tree of knowledge of good and evil.  God was setting Adam up for a wonderful life, and warning him to leave that tree alone.  Then God created Eve and brought her to Adam, and she was also given the warning to leave that tree alone.  So what happened?  We all know the story, they disobeyed God and ate of the tree they were told to leave alone. They threw wisdom out the window.  It is written in Proverbs 1:2-7, Continue Reading »
