WILL YOU OBEY GOD?

Obedience is a big thing to God.  Most people know that, but would still rather do their own thing.  Heaven is God’s home, and everything there is subject unto His will and pleasure.  The entire universe was created for God’s pleasure, and even the stars and planets obey His commandment to stay in their proper courses.  And everything was wonderful in heaven until Lucifer decided he not only did not want to obey God anymore, but he wanted to de-throne God and take His place and rule heaven.  Well, how did THAT work out for Lucifer?  Not too well, and he was cast out of heaven because he left his former place of obedience and became evil. IT’S ALL A MATTER OF CHOICE

Each and every day we are presented with choices to make.  Some are routine and have little consequence, like choosing which color clothes to wear today.  Others are life changing and have far-reaching consequences.  It is very important to consider the long term effects of our daily choices.  Many feel the LORD will make their choices for them so it doesn’t matter anyway.  But we are not puppets on strings, for the LORD has given us free choice in every matter of life.  However, we have no choice over the consequences of our choices. LOOKING IN, OR GOING IN?

Not being one to waste time, let me get to the heart of what the LORD is saying to us today: Is the Lord Jesus a mere casual acquaintance, or your most precious relationship? For example, we will say you know about the Queen of England.  But if someone asks her if she knows YOU, will she say “Certainly!  We have spent many wonderful hours together!” Or, will she shake her head and say, “I don’t recall the name”. THE SAME PROMISES APPLY TO ALL WHO BELIEVE
