GETTING THE MOST OUT OF THE WORD OF GOD

Everyone wants to get the most value they can out of whatever they have, and that’s just wisdom.  After all, you wouldn’t buy a new computer and put it on your desk to only serve as a paperweight, would you?  No, you’d plug it in and put it to work doing the tasks it was created to perform.  But yet we have the mightiest tool in the universe available to help us, God’s Word, and we don’t use it to do what it was created to do.  Why is that? WHATSOEVER YOU ASK IN JESUS’ NAME

Could it possibly be that Jesus means exactly what He says, and says exactly what He means?  Today let’s consider something the Lord Jesus said, not once, but twice.  It is written in John 14:12-15,

THE FORCE OF FAITH

Are the children of the Kingdom of God supposed to just sit around being passive, and letting whatever happens to them, happen? After all, we are told to be wise as serpents, gentle as doves.  Does that mean we are supposed to be the devil’s doormats?  Continue Reading »
