Wouldn’t life be much simpler if we weren’t faced with so many choices each day?  It is amazing how even the simplest decisions can alter the course of our lives.  We can choose to go to work in the morning, or we can choose to stay home and watch TV.  Looking ahead of that decision we can see the results: if you don’t go to work, you won’t keep your job, you will lose your income and become homeless eventually.  Or you can choose to pursue this career or that career with life altering results.  Decisions, decisions, what to do?

In the Army, I didn’t have many choices to make, they were all made for me by someone else. It was easy to “roll with the flow” and just do what I was ordered to do.  But once my time of service was over, I had to learn to make decisions.  Unfortunately, not all were good ones, but you learn by doing, right?  And the decisions we all make affect others, there’s no such thing as you being isolated and your decisions affect only you.  Yet, far too many decisions are made daily by people who have no care whatsoever of how THEIR decisions affect everyone else.

Today’s article will be short: I’d like to give you something to think about that has far-reaching effects on both yourself and others, and the Apostle Paul wrote about it in Romans10:9-15,

9  That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10  For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
11  For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
12  For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
13  For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
14  How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?
15  And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!

Ok, you think, what does this have with ME?  Glad you asked.  I call it the “domino effect”;  You have to call upon the LORD in order to be saved. How can you call upon the LORD if you don’t KNOW to? How can you believe in someone you haven’t heard of? How can you hear if no one tells you?  Do you see where this is going? It is necessary one TELLS you about Jesus before you can be saved, and so the LORD sends those who know Jesus to tell others the Gospel.

Now, look down at your feet.  Yes, you read that right…look at your feet.  The Bible says, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the Gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!  If your feet aren’t beautiful, then it’s only because you haven’t been sharing Jesus with others.  Like I said, it’s all about CHOICES.  But do you realize that unless YOU decide to share Jesus with those who don’t know Him, you may be dooming them to everlasting separation from God?  You see, your choices affect not only you, but OTHERS as well.  How can THEY decide to receive Jesus as their LORD and SAVIOR, unless YOU decide to tell them about Him?  I don’t know about you, but I don’t want to face the LORD knowing I could have told you about Jesus, but decided for whatever reason NOT to.

What I’m saying is, l  I don’t want a bad decision on my part to ruin YOUR future.  Now, I’m not responsible for what YOU decide to do with Jesus, but I AM responsible to tell YOU about Him.  And so all who know Christ Jesus have the privilege and obligation to share the Gospel.  Know this, someone may be saved today because YOU told them about Jesus.  Think how horrible it would be if someone is forever lost because you decided not to. Think about the domino effect on someone’s life that you told about Jesus, and they got saved and told others, who in turn got saved and told others.  Your one testimony could result in the salvation of THOUSANDS of lost souls down the line.  Think about that today, and decide wisely!  PREACH THE GOSPEL!
