The number one question I receive is, How did you receive your healing? I did it exactly as YOU will have to do…..I believed God!  There IS no other way.  I wish I could say that God gave me some new and special revelation that nobody else has ever had, but that isn’t the case, for there is nothing new under the sun, as it says in Ecclesiastes. Friend, I merely fulfilled God’s simple requirement for healing, given in Mark 11:23-24.  It says,
Mar 11:23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
Mar 11:24  Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
Please take note, it does NOT say “when ye pray, ye will receive them, THEN ye will believe”.  No, it’s believe FIRST, then RECEIVE.  Sorry, you can’t have it any other way.  God extended the offer on His terms, not yours. So if you want it, it’s His way or no way.  God isn’t hard to deal with, He made it so simple to receive, you’d have to deliberately try NOT to receive.
It’s kind of like this, if I’m in Florida and I wanted to go to New York the easy way, I would go NORTH.  But if I wanted to take the hard way, I could go SOUTH until I reached the South Pole, then go North to the North Pole, then go South to New York.  That’s how most people approach healing; the HARD way.  Let me explain.  The Bible mentioned something in the Old Testament that got my attention in Numbers, chapter 21.  Let’s read:
Num 21:1  And when king Arad the Canaanite, which dwelt in the south, heard tell that Israel came by the way of the spies; then he fought against Israel, and took some of them prisoners.
Num 21:2  And Israel vowed a vow unto the LORD, and said, If thou wilt indeed deliver this people into my hand, then I will utterly destroy their cities.
Num 21:3  And the LORD hearkened to the voice of Israel, and delivered up the Canaanites; and they utterly destroyed them and their cities: and he called the name of the place Hormah.
Num 21:4  And they journeyed from mount Hor by the way of the Red sea, to compass the land of Edom: and the soul of the people was much discouraged because of the way.
Num 21:5  And the people spake against God, and against Moses, Wherefore have ye brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? for there is no bread, neither is there any water; and our soul loatheth this light bread.
Num 21:6  And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Num 21:7  Therefore the people came to Moses, and said, We have sinned, for we have spoken against the LORD, and against thee; pray unto the LORD, that he take away the serpents from us. And Moses prayed for the people.
Num 21:8  And the LORD said unto Moses, Make thee a fiery serpent, and set it upon a pole: and it shall come to pass, that every one that is bitten, when he looketh upon it, shall live.
I had to show you the first seven verses to bring you to verse 8, which shows the requirement God made of the people who murmured against Him to be healed.  What was it? When he looked upon the fiery serpent on the pole, he would live. Can it get any simpler than that?
What if they tried to get healed some other way?  What if they tried medicine, or herbs, or sought a physician? Simple: they would die!  It was either God’s way, or no way, period.
Can it be any different today?  People say this and that, and try every method under the sun to get healed, yet, even in the days of the Old Covenant, God made it easy to be healed. But leave it to rebellious minds to try to find another way, which reminds me of yet another thing, taught by Jesus.
Joh 10:1 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.
Joh 10:2 But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep.
Joh 10:3 To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out.
Joh 10:4  And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice.
Joh 10:5  And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers.
If we listen to the LORD, and obey His voice, healing is not a struggle, but if we try to do it on our own terms, our way, then it IS.  To me, the real struggle is to get people to see the truth, that it IS God’s will they be healed and live in health.  After all, if God wanted people sick, then He would have created Adam and Eve sick.  But He didn’t, did He?  Like the thief and robber that tries to climb into the sheepfold over the wall, in essence, we do the same thing by ignoring God’s Word and try to get healing OUR way.  And it just doesn’t work, does it?  Not only do we suffer, but we end up spending our money as well.  Then, we’re sick AND broke.  There HAS to be a better way.
I have to walk very delicately here, because people have grown so accustomed to looking to doctors and medicine for healing, that when I tell them they can have their healing WITHOUT a doctor, they stumble at it.  After all, so and so prayed and didn’t go to the doctor, and THEY DIED!   Yes, that has happened, and I won’t deny it for a second.  Many have told me they believe God will heal them.  But when the pain really gets bad, faith often goes right out the window.  And I don’t want people to suffer, any more than God does.
I’ve personally known people who stood in faith, yet died anyway.  What does that prove?  First, you don’t know their walk with God.  They may tell you they believe, in order to make YOU feel comfortable, when really inside, they are full of fear and doubt.  Only GOD knows their heart for sure. Fear will keep you out of God’s best, every time. See Revelation 21:7. But this I know, God honors faith, and some of God’s beloved have died in faith, never having received the manifestation of the promise in this life.  Can you say God didn’t keep His Word then?  Nope.  God doesn’t lie.  As for me, I’d rather die in faith than bend my knee to the devil in defeat.
Not everyone lives in the same level of faith.  Talk is one thing, doing it is another.  That’s not a put-down, either.  Sometimes we really want to live in faith, but the so-called well of our experience is not very deep, and some new believers just haven’t had time to develop their faith yet. Some people are just not DESPERATE enough to believe.  I was, though.  Even an army has to retreat sometimes to be able to come back and defeat the enemy another day. Knowing that, I would never put a guilt trip on someone who goes to the doctor instead of standing firm in faith without doing so.  If you can get some relief by going to the doctor so you can live long enough to mature your faith into a devil-defying faith, then by all means do so.  But know this: you CAN develop your faith to the point where you can depend on God to keep you healed so you’ll never have another sick day.  I know, because I did it.  And if I can do it, so can you, because it’s easier than you think.  Jesus MADE it easy.  What’s the secret? FEAR NOT, BELIEVE ONLY! That was what the Lord Jesus said. It worked two thousand years ago, and it will work today.  I certainly know it has worked for me, and I’m nothing special, merely a believer.  After all, what does a “believer” do?  They BELIEVE. Today, right now, settle in your heart and mind that God’s Word is true, only true, and every time. Lock that away in your heart and throw the key away and never look back.  Once you’ve settled your heart concerning healing, you have it and the devil can’t steal it away from you, no matter WHAT kind of pain or symptoms he tries to put on you.  You’ll be able to tell him, Get behind me Satan, I’m healed by the stripes of Jesus, and that’s all there is to it!  And he will have to go and take his junk with him.
If you can see yourself doing that, and saying that, and believe it in your heart, then it’s YOURS!  Why? Because I said so?  No!  because JESUS said so in Mark 11:23-24.  Any more questions?
